I know people have artistic freedom and stuff but what is with the new girl stars who think the only way to become a popular star is to act like a bimbo!?! Take miley cyrus's new video i mean how old does she think she is?! She is dancing around in underware and wings. How does she get away with that? She used to be okay when she was hannah montanna but now, not a great roll model like she wants to be. Compare that to the older stars music videos from when they were younger not anywhere near as bad as that.
And ke$$ha who wore a full body green suit on snl. i mean come on. how dumb can u be. anyway i want to get your thoughts does anyone agree with me????
peace love and music:hippie::hippie::hippie:

Ke$ha is an adult and can dress any way she wants to.

Miley Cyrus is gross.

i think that some people are just off there rockers and even though kesha is and adult she shouldn't dress that way on tv

I couldn't agree more. She's 17 and dressing like a Victoria's Secret model. Little girls look up to her, and it's sort of sad. Disney has portrayed her as a role model and she goes off and does this.

I have no problems with Ke$ha. She isn't marketed as a role model.

Miley Cyrus's new video was horrible. I can't believe she would make a decision to behave like that in her video when she knows that she has millions of little girls looking up to her. If she's trying to break away from her "Disney" image, this was the wrong way to go.

With Miley its not giving her a bad name as much as its giving Disney a bad name that they liked her enough to make her a star.

I agree, Ke$ha, no matter how much I can't stand her autotuned, obnoxious, is an adult, and can do whatever she pleases.

Miley. I used to be obsessed with her, I almost worshipped that girl, I had an obnoxious obsession.

Now...:sad2:

It's not "edgy" Miley, you don't have to do the things you do*cough* to get attention. Sheesh. And the Adam Shankman thing? the heck?

I saw that thing. he is like 50 years old and she was giving him a lap dance!

Agreed, Sex sells....and in popular music it isn't anything new it's been happening since the 50's....Elvis is a good example....and look alot of 80's pop music aswell....90's pop music....its nothing new.

It's her freedom of choice, how she chooses to dress is truely up to her....I'm not a fan of Kesha (I personally don't think her music has any substance to it)....to be truthful thinknig about it Kesha is dressing no different to how I've seen alot of girls on the street dress for years.

i've watched music videos of many 80's pop songs and the only bad videos are by madonna which is not a shock i have watched some of the most popular music videos from the 80s like the ones by cyndi lauper which have paved the way for the music videos of today and they have nothing to do with sex

Cyndi Lauper sang about female ************. I could go on and on and on about songs in the 80s about sex. Why don't you go watch some White Snake videos and tell me that they're not about sex? Or maybe you should go watch Amazing where Steven Tyler's daughter STRIPS and dances on a pole? Have you ever heard of Prince? I can't think of a song he's written that ISN'T about sex. Madonna, Queen, Kiss, Weezer, Billy Idol, BuckCherry, Vanhalen, Aerosmith, The Bloodhound gang, ZZ top, Shakira, AC/DC, Radiohead, Paparoach, Alice Cooper, The stooges, Deep Purple, The Rolling Stones, INXS, Eagles, Billy Joel, Poison, Motley Crue, Jefferson's Airplane, The Strokes, Spinal Tap all sang about sex on many occasions. And thats mostly off the top of my head.

Sorry to be the news flash, but sex has been around for just a couple of years.

Elvis couldn't be shown on television below the waist because of his sexual hip gyrations. This was in the 50s.

Songs about sex date back to minstrels in the dark ages singing about raunchy unrequited love for the upper class.

thats is just some of the bands that for sure thats all they know there are many different bands that are very sucsessful not singing about sex they may have certain songs that are but most don't oh and news flash back i'm talking more about how they dress than videos and i'm like talking about the ones that started out as kid singers or that kids look up to and yes that does include kesha because in this town if you haven't heard about kesha no matter how young or old you are then you have lived under a rock

Maybe it's just me, but when Miley Cyrus first started with Disney Channel she was more demure, and seemed far more respectful. Teenagers have this reputation of rebelling, but I think what Miley is doing is on a far larger scale with a much more difficult situation.
She is trying to express her angst with being stereotyped as Hannah Montana through her clothing and her music.
The problem is that while she was younger and thrilled at just being considered a star she was marketed as a role model for fairly young girls. Now they are watching her in her rebellious stage and absorbing everything.

i think your right but the problem i have with it is that her dad is supporting her in the way she dresses i have heard him on tv saying he doesn't care what she does i think he should have more of a problem with it if i even tried to dress like that i bet i would never be able to leave the house and i think that may be the only problem i have with it
