What is up with September?

I am looking at returning to Disneyland in September. We are flexible betwee September 18 and 28th for a four night/five day stay. I can't figure out why Hojo and BWPPI are both sold out the entire 11 days?! I checked the convention center site, nothing is really going on. Anybody have any insight?

If you are trying to book through a travel agent that might be the problem.

I am booked into the HoJo in October but when I got a quote from ARES and also Its A Small World Travel (I think that is the name) they both told me that my dates were not available at the HoJo. When I booked it myself the dates were available, even now when I go to the HoJo site and put in my dates there are still availabilities.

I think that maybe these travel agents might get some sort of a commission or kick-back from Disney resorts because they clearly didn't provide me with the correct information and were pushing me towards Disney resorts. I am just glad I didn't take their word for it.

No travel agent. I was looking to book online. HOJO doesn't have any availablity for those dates, but Getaway today does at HOJO. Same with BWPPI. I'm stumped! We're going during that time because I work for a Jewish synagogue, many of those days no work is allowed because it is their High Holidays. Perfect time for me to go on vacation. You can't tell me every Jewish person in LA has decided to go to DL that week and stay in walking distance hotels!

I do not do the September check in but can guess that an Educators convention and D23 convention may be at fault. I have no notes for September but have for other months, sorry.

Believe it or not, September is a high wedding time and maybe there is a bunch of weddings in the area with out of town guests. When we planned our wedding 10 years ago, our planner told us that June and Sept are the hardest months to get any hotel rooms or banquet rooms...who knew. My friend is planning her wedding this year and she was told the same thing and she is having it in the area.

We are going Sept 19-26 and I have noticed the early dates of my trip are booked at many hotels. There is a large ASIS convention which has reserved the entire Anaheim Convention Center and my guess is that is what is causing the booking issues. They might have "holds" on many of the rooms this far out and when they are not booked closer to the dates of the convention they will "free" them up. The ASIS convention is actually listed in the Unofficial Guide as a convention to watch for with hotel booking issues. I am just hoping that it will be a bunch of single men & women and no families causing an influx in the park crowds during our trip.

Thank you, and yes, like a big ol' rodenta, I love to snack on cheese and crackers, or just cheese, please! I don't discriminate, Sharp Cheddar, Provolone, Swiss, Brie, Colby, Jack, American, Gorgonzola (Even though it has a rather pungent aroma and taste to it, but I likee all the same) and that is just the beginning....... and at times, I love to add of course! Sourdough bread, and salami.... I pretty much can live on the former, and lunchables, especially the kind that has a little candy with it, and a cool looking blue drink too! Now where is Don Juan!! ??
