What is up with DA PINS? Pins, Shipping etc!

I had class this morning, so I missed the release
of todays pins...

I just went to check to see how fast the
Aladdin and Jasmine sold out... and they only
listed 145 pins... what happened to the other
105???

Are they going to release more soon? Or did
someone there goof?

Interesting that both old auctions say that the
seller closed the auctions early! Rather than
saying all items are sold out...

Something stinks in suburbia...

now their shipping is another thing...
since I started this thread... I'll add to
it!

I bought ONE pin from DA and was
charged $4.95 for shipping which they
claim is BY WEIGHT!
The pin was a PINS pin, so around $14.00
tops dollar value!

I then go to Disney Deals and bought a
set of luggage... the box was HUGE,
GIGANTIC... and HEAVY! It was only $6.95
to ship! And, it also was claimed to be
shipped BY WEIGHT.
The luggage was $45.00 in dollar value!

There is not equity in their system!
They cannot say they go by weight, and
they cannot say they go by dollar value like
other mail order companies!

And the people in the packing dept
need a lesson or two! Whether it is
a bubble envelope, or a box big enough
to fit me and my 85 lb golden retriever
in - only ONE pin is usually in either of
them! Do they run out of small boxes?

Good grief!
Can anyone else relate something more
outrageous?

Heather, the pins from DA are shipped priority mail. I believe that $4.95 is the cheapest rate for this type of mailing.

DA PINS are actually shipped Airborne/DHL with USPS being
the end handler in that (thru their special contract)...
I've NEVER gotten anything from DA in ANY kind of priority!
Shipping for a single pin OR a set of luggage cost approx
the same amount AND it all takes 2-3 weeks!
This goes for any type of DA... deals, PINS, regular - anything!

The Pins and the Luggage were shipped from the same
location!

It just amazes me how they get our money!

Heather, I didn't realize how they are shipped now. I just know that when I purchased an auction pin sometime ago, it was shipped priority mail. As you can see, I don't frequent DA pins much.

It does make me wonder why they would charge so much for one little pin.
