What is turndown service?

So do you just call Mousekeeping on your first night and ask for "Turndown service"? Do you have to call each night, or do they come every night of your stay once its requested?

I think we must have gotten the turndown service at the Wilderness Lodge on the first night of our honeymoon. It was a very nice surprise. I just have another question though. Is it rude to have it every night? I just loved that night when we got back and we had the WL chocolates. Do they get upset if people that are not in conceirge (sp) request turndown service?

We just called the first night and requested it for our entire trip. And we got it all but one night (we had the do not disturb tag out).

I don't think they mind doing it for non concierge guests - otherwise I don't think they'd offer it. It is customary to tip for this extra service, however.

At the Dolphin we had a 2 BR Exec. Suite, so I don't know if it was included or not. It just happened!

Can you request turndown service if you are staying in the Beach Club Villas. I know you have to pay extra for mousekeeping... but can you get turndown service too? I need to be pampered!

afraid not. It is only offered at Deluxe resorts not at the Home Away from Home resorts.
