How should we spend time on the Boardwalk in the late afternoon and early evening? Have FF ps at 6:00 ... what elase to do?

The Boardwalk is a nice place to be at dusk...

Besides just making memories by strolling the boardwalk...You can check out the Wyland Gallery, the lobby of the Boardwalk Inn, the General Store, and even hang out at ESPN .

After dinner, you can catch Illuminations by taking a stroll across the bridge into Epcot's International entrance.

Often you can find a sold out find pin at the pin cart on the Boardwalk. DW always likes to look there... everytime we walk by.

Just before you leave, pick up some goodies at the Bakery for early breakfast the next day. Just don't buy ALL of the cherry danish's!

There are some carnival type games to play as well as sometimes stolling magicians, a juggler and other entertainers. You can also rent a surry bike and ride the .79 of a mile distance around Crescent Lake. ESPN has a lot of video sports games too.

THe surrey bikes are a blast! We really enjoyed ours!

My DD got her hair wrap done there, the arcade at ESPN is fun, the buskers are entertaining, great people watching, good restaurants etc...

Can we get to the boardwalk from Epcot? DH and I have never been and I thought it would be a nice way to break up our day...

Pumpinfish, you can walk or take a boat to the boardwalk if you leave through the international gateway (between UK and France). It's a very pleasant walk :D

HBC-
I thought it was .80 miles!!! All these years I've been running 5 laps thinking I was doing 4 miles and now it's only 3.95 miles!! I'm being sarcastic about the distance, but I do the laps! Watch for me
10/23 - 10/28, 12/5 - 12/10 and 1/23 -1/27. Gotta run!!

There are also magicians in the lobby of the hotel or out wandering the Boardwalk. There is also Atlantic Dance and Jellyrolls for some fun after dinner. If you want a drink before dinner, try the quiet Belle Vue Room off the lobby of the hotel. As previously said, the bakery is wonderful but there is also a candy and ice cream shop. It is our DVC "home" and one of our favorite places in the"world".

Hey guys!!! What time do things start to close down on the boardwalk. How late is the bakery open til about ( great idea about picking up breakfast the night before yummm). Can rent the surrey bikes when it is dark/night lol?? Thanks so much .. alot of questions I know!:hyper: It will be dh and I's first time there.

skylarr29- I think things start closing about 11:00 in Oct, Dec and May. However, the Bakery sells out of some of the good stuff early so get there as soon as possible. It's worth carrying them around for a while.

A good beginning is a cherry danish and coffee in your room, and then an early lunch at Flametree!

Yeah, the surrey rental is day and night. Not sure when they close. They have lights on them and a bell to warn unsuspecting pedestrians.

By the way, the lemon, apple and cheese danish are very tasty as well...

I am not sure what time the stores start to close down but Jellyrolls stays open late - after midnight. I love the Boardwalk!!!!
We are staying at OKW this time but we are doing the same - FF ressies and then off to walk the boards. We always end up at Jellyrolls for dualing pianos. It is by far my favorite place to get a few drinks, listen to some good music and laugh. Pleasure Island is too much for us. Boardwalk is romantic and tons of fun!!
