What is There to Do at AKV.....

besides swim? We are staying here for the first time 1/26-2/1 in a 2BR value. Our plan is to go to AK on arrival day and then come back to unpack. If it is warm enough, DH and the girls will swim while I do that. What can they do if it is not warm enough. I know that weather is so unpredictable that time of year. We've had warm days then COLD days all in one visit before!!

3.cookie decorating
4.face painting
5.drum activities
6.pin trading
7. Crafts ( there is a little charge for this)
8. Medallion rubbings
9. Kidani has a splash zone with water cannons that looks fun, wonder if that would be better than getting completely wet on a cold day?
10. Community room with game systems
11. Playground
12.night time animal viewing with night vision goggles
13.movies by the pool

There is an activities schedule each month with more info floating around on the web, I'll try to figure out how to post a link to it, or just search for Akl activities guide.

There has been a Boma tour and tasting and then some tastings of the flatbreads at Jiko's in the past. I think it was held around 4 PM. That was free, and there was also wine tasting for a fee that you had to sign up for.

In addition to these suggestions, we also LOVE the presentations in the library given by the exchange personel from Africa. They occur every evening about 8:15 after the drum circle.

Also, you will want to try and book the sunset safari where you get a personal tour of the savannas that ends with a wonderful dinner at Jiko.

and the lions hunting them. Disney Lions only eat snipes. I heard they taste like marshmallows.
