Hi

What is the weather like in October? We are leaving on the 18th October and fly back on the 1st November. We have never been this time before, as now our dd goes to school we had to choose peak summer or October.

Are the queues bad? When can you book the Halloween party tickets?

I cant wait so excited, but its still ages away

Hope you can help.

Regards
Michelle

Who are you flying with we are flying with virgin on the same date ( 12.30) , we have only been in october once before and the weather was very nice just need a jacket for the evenings . The halloween tickets are not on sale yet but should be by the end of april you have to call disney dinning to buy them ( 001 407 939 3463) also if you want to book a character meal at liberty tree tavern you can do this at the same time even though it is more then 90 days before . As for the queues they should not be to bad the first week as you are there like us before the half term hoildays i may get busythe last week but still not really bad , Are you satying on resort if so use the extra magic hours then there are hardly any queues hope this info can be of some help . Have fun planning it will come quicker then you think :cheer2:

Hiya

We too are flying with Virgin leaving at 12:30 from Gatwick. Not sure if I like leaving that late though always flown around 9:00ish. Where do we fly from North or South? I have never flown with Virgin before and I am really looking forward to it. We are staying at All Star Movies. We have been before and we loved it.

Thanks for your advice it really helps especially when summer clothes come out ever so early. We need plenty of time to prepare. We are going to book a character at Garden Grill Epcot, as we love it there.

I cant wait!!!!

Angel, Virgin fly from the South terminal at LGW :)

Cheers Miffy I appreciate that. We wernt sure as it was a scheduled flight. Thanks again.

Hiya

We are in row 38 e,f,g,h, and i. I think they were those without looking on the invoice. We had prob reserving online, so we called them. They managed to sort it out, just hoping it all worked ok. Have you used the check in service online? We saw it in the brochure and thought it was a good idea and at least that way we might be able to see if they managed to book our seats ok.

You will love the All Star resort. The transporatation is really good and the staff are excellent.

No we have not used online check in but have looked at are seats online and they did match up with the ones we had booked when i phoned virgin . Can you tell me what time the last buses leave downtown disney to go back to the resort and this is the first time my husband does not have to drive and would like to have a few drinks one night , not sure ds will be to happy if his dad starts to dad dance anywhere though :dancer: :rotfl2:

Hi-we went in october 2003 and the weather was great. Even though we had been warned of occasional showers at that time of year, we only had about an hour of rain for the whole 2 weeks and we were in one of the parks at the time so it didn't really affect us.The evenings were cooler(clocks go back late oct)but were still comfortable. The queues in the parks were more than manageable, the longest we encountered was 20 minutes at universal for shrek 4-d.We enjoyed it so much we're going back this October.

We've been in Oct for the past 5 years and would recommend this time of the year. We've been to MNSSHP the last 2 years and it's fantastic. We booked our dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern for last years MNSSHP and had a fantastic meal, again I'd highly recommend doing this. I think the tickets for MNSSHP come out aobut 90 days before but I'm not certain. I booked our tickets, by phoning WDW, and also booked the LTT at the same time, we had 5pm reservation.
The weather is Oct is usually good and in the 80's we've had rain a few times but nothing drastic. I always have a lightwieght jacket with meat night as it can and does get cooler in the evenings, but I don't use or ned it every night.

Hiya

Cheers for all the info I told my dh about the weather. So we will buy some light weight jackets for the evening and shorts and tees for the day time. Liberty Tavern looks really nice, but not sure what the food is, will have to have a look at that.

Wildwood, the buses I think usually stop running from Pleasure Island after about hour or so after the clubs close. I would speak to the hotel when you get there as the park hours change. The transport is great I could never fault it, apart from after the parks close the queue is massive and the buses sometimes go to all 3 hotels and you normally wait about 10-15 minutes in between. I kind of expect that anyway, so it didnt really bother me only when your children are so tired, so we sat on a bench and waited for the queue to go down so we didnt have to stand up, no adults swap there seats so all children can sit down and they are so tired, so I prefered waiting till it calmed down a bit. :crowded: Casey didnt mind that either. Other than that its a great service.

I am getting so excited.
