You receive an invitation to a wedding being held at a country club. Your choice of attire is faded blue jeans, and untucked shirt, and tennis shoes. Is this considered appropriate for this occasion?

OP-Did you actually see this?
Thought process = "I'm on go get me sum beer!"
Translation - "I have been invited to a social event that will serve alcoholic beverages. I am going to go dressed in what I have on this exact minute and try to drink as much free liquor as I possibly can."
nope - not proper attire!
My older DS got married at a Country Club with a dress code. We were asked not to wear any denim even for the rehearsal. Of course, one family member came to the wedding in blue jeans and plaid shirt. His buttoniere (sp?) looked great on that plaid!
Then when my younger DS got married, the ceremony & reception was at a Brewery. My sister-in-law wanted to know if her 10 year old DSs could wear T-shirts & shorts. Gee - just 'cause it's at a brewery doesn't mean it's in a barn! I asked that they have nice clothes on for the ceremony & family pix. After that, I didn't care if they changed.
