what is the tax on meals?

sorry if someone has already asked this, but I am trying to add up how much meals will cost with tax and tip, how much tax does disney charge on you meal? thanks!

Ok, my mom on our last trip put her meals on our ticket becasue of the DDE card. and when I got home I tried to add up her part including tax. It does not say exactly the % on the ticket. so, using the ole calculator, it came out to be 6 1/2%, the best I could figure. Hope this helps.

In Orange County, Florida, the sales tax rate (including restaurant meals) is 6.5%.

In Osceola County, Florida, the sales tax rate (including restaurant meals) is 7.0%.

Most of WDW is in Orange County. The southern part of the WDW property, including the Disney's All-Star resorts and Disney's Wide World of Sports, is in Osceola County.
