Just wondering what the steepest discount you can get with a code is and which codes offer the most discount?

Thanks! :wave2:

I got an email "postcard" discount code this Fall. We reserved a courtyard WL room. Usually $250, we got it for $137. That is approx a 45% discount. -HM

I just got Cr for $131...that was a wing room but I was upgraded to MK Tower so that was a HUGE discount

Back in Aug 2004 we got a std room at WL for $129/nite, and were upgraded to courtview!

Pay for 5 stay for 7 was a pretty good one-esp. since we stayed concierge.

This spring, BC CL rack is $565/night and we paid $438/night.
Thought that was pretty good!

I've also had this upgrade before (April 02), but didn't count on getting one during the busy Christmas period this year, so chose to pay the higher rate this time. :)

In the past the codes used to offer a straight % off rack rates. Nowadays the codes seem to have gone to a straight $$$ off, which means the more expensive the rack rate of the room is, the less % off you now receive. So, for example, WDW has been giving about $85 off per night for deluxe resorts, regardless of resort or room category. For WL and AKL standard view, that works out to be about 42% off rack rates for those rooms (using value season here). If you move up to GF Garden View, the same $85 off works out to be only 25% off rack rates. The % off can get as low as 14% if you use the code rates for a RPC concierge room at GF. It's still a savings though, but it is not as great as it used to be. The codes that usually offer the best discounts are the AP rates. Those usually are $5 - $10 more per night than general public codes or postcard codes.

Thank-you! You answered my question! :wave2:

As others have said, AP rates generally fall into the 30% to 45% off range. The deepest discount in recent memory was the $69 deal at the moderates this April/May. It was during regular season and represented a 52% discount off of the $144 rack rate.
