I've heard a lot of people saying how much they like "Lost". I've never seen it. Can someone tell me the premise of the show? I know NOTHING about it. I was thinking of adding Lost Season 1 to my Netflix cue. Thanks

Wow, that's a LOT of explaining :)

That's what I'm sayin. Bonnie, lots of hot guys with shirts off. Interesting story line, and lots of mystery.

Other than that it's complicated. :rotfl:

I definitely recommend it. I am so hooked. I would leave DH in a NY minute for Sayid. :teeth:

Who's lost? Are they lost in the woods, the jungle, lost at sea? How did they get lost?

They are on an island. They were in a plane crash heading to California from Australia.

They are all connected in some way, but they don't know it.

There are also "the others" on the island, but you don't really know who they are or if they are good or evil.

I'll try.

It's about a group of people who are on a plane that crashes on an island. The storyline shows how the survivors manage to continue life with no hope of rescue. During each epiosode, the storyline has flashbacks of each survivor. With each flashback, you realize the survivors lives connect with each other in the past. Example, a stranger in a bar tells you a heartfelt story about his son. You later realize that son is someone you are stuck on the island with. Do you tell the son what the father said? Anyway, eventually, these survivors realize they somehow were meant to be on this island.

The plot thickens. It is a mystery and gets more interesting with each episode. Hard to explain more because it would ruin the storyline. Definitely pay attention to details and remember those flashbacks.

All I can say is once you watch, you are hooked. :teeth:

I have been watching since the beginning and everytime I think I am starting to figure things out, something happens and I am even more confused. But it is a great show. IMHO it is one of the best shows on TV.

Thanks, guys! I will be sure to bump it to the top of my Que!

I can't wait till October 4th when Season 3 starts! I'm counting down the days! Until then - I'm watching Season 1 and 2 over and over again! You'll be hooked right away!

ditto ditto ditto. Did I say ditto?

Put it in your cue you won't regret it.

I will add that you are so lucky to be able to watch all of seasons 1 and 2 together.

After that you will have to suffer like the rest of us waiting for the story to unfold.

I think it is a good show because it involves mystery, science, personal stories, drama, intelligence, and okay some hotness. Great show for both men and women.

LUCKY!

I literally FOUGHT not watching Lost the first season. Too Gilligan's Island, I thought. I was also NOT a fan of Matthew Fox and thought... ugh...

Well, I read a VERY long thread about the show on this board and went to Blockbuster to start what I call my LOST WEEKEND>>> ;)

I cannot explain how enTHRALLED I am with this show now. It is beyond well written, beyond wlll thought out and best of all, it all MAKES SENSE. This is a unique endeavor and clearly one of the best ideas for television in years.

And yes, I work in television.... :p

Get the DVDs, and enjoy! :thumbsup2

Oh my goodness, another enthusiastic fan of Lost here!!! :cheer2:

And I agree, you are incredibly lucky that you can watch the first two seasons all at once on DVD....that would be the perfect way to experience this show.

Have fun!

You aren't alone, LOL!!

My husband and I didn't watch Season 1 when it was on tv. We heard about how good it was mid-season. We figured we'd get it on Netflix when it came out on DVD.

Well our good friend bought season 1 the day it was released and lent it to us. We had a Lost weekend Veteran's Day weekend. 3 days of NOTHING but watching Lost. LOL!! We stopped to eat, and usually it was a sandwich. I can still hear myself yelling at my husband, "Can't you pee any faster?!" :lmao:

So we started watching Season 2 when it premiered :)
