I quite enjoy roller coasters, but can't handle ones with too many inversions. I'm thinking hulk or dragons might make me fell sick, but what is the rip rocket coaster like?

There are no inversions. However, there are some cars that are incredibly shaky and jarring. Rumour has it that new cars are coming soon.

This is one of the most unique coasters I've ever been on. Two things set it apart.

1. You get to pick a song that plays throughout your ride. May I suggest The Crystal Method's "Busy Child"

Here's the complete song list:

Classic Rock/Metal
“Born to Be Wild,” Hinder
“Bring Me to Life,” Evanescence
“Gimme All Your Lovin’,” ZZ Top
“Kickstart My Heart,” Mötley Crüe
“Paralyzer,” Finger Eleven
“Rollin’,” Limp Bizkit

Rap/Hip-Hop
“Don’t Phunk With My Heart,” Black Eyed Peas
“Insane In the Brain,” Cypress Hill
“Pump It,” Black Eyed Peas
“Rock Star,” N.E.R.D.
“Sabotage,” Beastie Boys
“Stronger,” Kanye West

Club/Electronica
“Busy Child,” The Crystal Method
“Harder Better Faster Stronger,” Daft Punk
“Intergalactic,” Beastie Boys
“Keep Hope Alive,” The Crystal Method
“Le Disko,” Shiny Toy Guns
“Pump Up the Volume,” MARRS

Pop/Disco
“Bad Girls,” Donna Summer
“Glamorous,” Fergie
“Hella Good,” No Doubt
“I Will Survive,” Gloria Gaynor
“That’s the Way (I Like It),” KC and the Sunshine Band
“U Can’t Touch This,” MC Hammer

Country
“All Night Long,” Montgomery Gentry
“Guitars, Cadillacs,” Dwight Yoakam
“I Can Sleep When I’m Dead,” Jason Michael Carroll
“Living in Fast Forward,” Kenny Chesney
“Midnight Rider,” The Allman Brothers
“The Devil Went Down to Georgia,” The Charlie Daniels Band

2. The climb up. It is a 90° angle straight up. You literally are laying back facing the sky

That's pretty much the best picture I can find.

They warn you to not have anything in your pockets, and they are not kidding. Make sure those suckers are empty!

Some cars are shaky but others are very smooth.

It`s a fantastic coaster, and the climb is not as bad as it looks......I opened my eyes finally during the climb after a few goes....amazing.

Yes it is. ;) I didn't like that climb at all.

I love coasters, and am happy I can say I've done this once. But that ride count is probably staying at one. The rest of the ride isn't exceptional enough to me to make up for the ascent.

Yeah I try to avoid you-tube for rides as I like some surprises :)

Just wanted to get a general gist of what it was like!

It's fun! I've only had a few rough rides. The majority (95%) have been smooth. The vertical climb messes with a lot of people, but it's quick! And it's not as scary as the Hulk (imo)

its an amazing coaster, and the climb is terrifying. feel like your gonna slide out your seat. its a great rush

I don't mind admitting that I greyed out on HRRR. I am usually a coaster freak and thrill junkie, and this is proven by the fact that I close my eyes during the vertical climb, but open them as soon as we are about to drop downwards at the top! :thumbsup2

I just can't handle the vertical lifthill. It freaks me out, I don't know why. But I see little girls aged 10 or so go on this ride, so I think pah how bad can it be? ;)

The cars are quite shaky, and I find myself to be a little exposed without the usual restraints that you find on most other coasters, inc Hulk and Dragon Challenge.

I will not be riding it again. It shook my head and neck so bad, I had a migraine afterwards. As far as jerkiness, it's right up there with the beast at kings island.

We had one ride so rough that it gave us both headaches for the rest of the day. We avoid it now. Such a shame because we had really fun rides before that.

I rode it about 15 times last trip and never had a shaky car. All of them were very smooth.

I have to agree that the lift hill is just insane. I always feel like I am going to slide out. I rode once with my cell phone and wallet in my pocket...never again! I thought I was going to lose them both. I HIGHLY suggest renting a FREE locker next to the ride and empty EVERYTHING from your pockets, around your neck, basically anything you have on you except your clothes, lol.

I don't hold on while riding any coaster (love the airtime) however I always have to hold on going up that lift hill. After that part, the coaster is very mild. Never goes upside down (it seems like it does becuase it looks like a big loop, but the track twists near the top and you go over the loop instead of going upside down) and besides the first drop, none of the others are that bad.

Also, I suggest googling "rip ride rockit hidden songs" and visiting the first link. It has a list of most (if not all) the confirmed hidden songs on the ride. Hold down the Rip Ride Rockit logo on the touch screen for 10 secs (you have to count in your head, I always count to about 12 to be sure) and then let go. If you held it long enough, a number pad will appear. Type in the 3-digit code and press Enter. You will get a warning telling you that you will not be filmed or able to purchase pictures or video of your ride (becuase they do not have permission to sell the music) and then you music will start playing while going up the lift hill. I am not a fan of the songs that are "standard" for the ride, so I always listen to these "hidden" songs while riding.

The vertical beginning of the ride if terrifying! I was holding on with everything I had; even my toes! The rest of the ride is just okay. Definitely not worth the horror I experienced on the way up. Will NEVER ride this again.

I had a bad experience like this, it kept me from riding it more than once :headache:. Is there a trick to figuring out what part of the train isn't jerky?

I am a bonafide ride weenie, but on my recent trip with my son, I was determined to try ALL the coasters and get over this fear....you know what, I realized that coasters aren't as bad as I had hyped myself up to believe! I conquered them all, Hulk, both dueling dragons, HRRR....which my son and I LOVED!!! so smooth and so fun, we rode it multiple times, the express pass was Great! It was one of my favorite rides along with the Hulk, and I can't wait to go back again and do them all over again...we are even thinking of trying Busch Gardens next time to experience more of what Florida has to offer :) this is something coming from a gal who in 2008 quivered in the seat next to my hubby as he talked me through every turn on Expedition Everest/ RcnRC. Hulk and HRRR have got to be two of the most fun coasters I have ever tried :) so much fun awaits! :) enjoy

I'm curious about this as well. I rode it with my daughter and all was fine, and we'd like to ride it again but not if we'd feel like we'd been in a fender bender!

Interesting that you say that, since my son (who has ridden well over two hundred different coasters) compared it to The Beast as well.

Rumour is that new cars are on their way. Let's hope that is true.
