A refrigerator swap is where you sign up on one of the threads to use the fridge during your stay. You retrieve it from bell services at your hotel, plug it in in your room, and return it to bell services with the name and reservation of the person using the fridge after you. It's very simple, and it's free!!

If you are staying at a value resort where a fridge cost $12 per night, it's definitely a way to save some money.

Click on the fridge swap sticky at the top of the budget board page. There are currently about a dozen different to choose from.

Thought I would chime in here since I've been running one for 3 years now..
The best way to make sure that the fridge (and whatever is with it) doesn't go MIA is to do an in-person swap. If swappers trips overlap by a day then they can arrange to call to meet to do the swap. So much less stressful for all concerned. Inc. the organizer.

One added benefit of meeting another disboarder is that you get to meet one, duh, and many times they'll have extra stuff they want to get rid of...extra bottles of water, unopened snacks, etc.

In 18 days I'll be using my fridge for the fourth time. I never expected this to last as long as it has. Magical, is all I can say

Also, keep an eye on this board and not just the sticky as it hasn't been upsdated in MONTHS. My swap somehow got removed from the sticky and I have asked the mods over and over to add me back but no such luck.

So, keep an eye on the Budget Boards if you are looking for a swap because the sticky has outdated information.

I 2nd what PP said. Check out the sticky but also check out the budget board. I just looked at the sticky and my swap is still there (#1) but still says 2+ years. As of now we have been around 3 years and are starting on our 4th.

I did check out about 1/2 of them listed (7 of 14) and one came up as closed-fridge lost.
