I live in Irving, Texas and I have always concidered it fairly "average size."

According to the 2000 census we sit at 191,615. What is the population in your neck of the woods?

I live in Oregon City, OR, population of about 60,000. But it is part of the greater Portland metro area, which has probably close to 1,000,000 including the city of Portland, all the suburbs, and Vancouver, WA which is right across the river.

Grew up in San Jose....which had a population of about 470,000 when I was a kid...now at one million and that's just San Jose...not including the greater SF Bay Area. Got too crowded so I moved!

Alice! You beat me to it! Yep, San Jose has about a million people here. We are the 11th largest city in the nation, 3rd largest in California (behind Los Angeles and San Diego). People are surprised that we even have more people than San Francisco.

So yep, it's definately crowded here AND, don't forget, EXPENSIVE.

Which one? :p In Mississippi, it's about 25,000. In Oklahoma, it'll be 21,000. In Washington, finally, we'll be in a real city - just under 200,000.

Katerkat, I have you beat. We live in St. Mary's City. Population 500 (not counting the college students).

I grew up in Indy, with a population around 1,000,000.

Population is about 46,000 in San Ramon

A few hundred. We're a really small town but we're next to a larger city so we only have to travel 35 minutes or so to get to shopping, jobs, etc.

Right now it's a tad over 39,000 but we are in the first week of a special census to update our numbers and they are hoping this will add approximately 1,500-2000 people.

Population of about 4.5 million people here in Toronto.

The city of Marietta proper has a population of about 58,000 according to the 2000 census. I technically don't live inside the city limits though, so I'm not sure how many people live in east Cobb county. Of course, Atlanta is HUGE.

I live in a village of about 1,200!

I donno, I live in the 'burbs of NYC. Millions of us "packed together". In my actual town, a hundred thousand or two, I guess.

Grew up in town of 1200.

I live in Little Elm,TX. Current population around 4,000. Smallest town I have ever lived in but it's growing quickly. One of the fastest growing towns in N. Texas, from what they tell us.

TOV

I live in the smallest city in my state - Pop.32,411

About 4200 here in Auburn. But we're right next to the biggest city in the state (about 100,000), so there's plenty to do within a 20 minute drive, thankfully...

I live in a Altoona, Iowa (15,000) which is a town outside Des Moines (200,000).

In my city, approximately 42,000.
The city and county was amalgamated into one big city (very, very, spread out and including several towns 15 miles or so apart!!!! ) population of that is 110,000

About 1.9 million here. If you count the entire Houston metro area it's just under 5 million.
