Population here is about 280,000.

We are actually in Frisco, Texas now which has a population of about 55,400. We share a border with Plano though and lived there until recently. Its population is 222,030 per the 2000 census. Then there's the other cities including Dallas so who knows how many people live in this area.

The population in Slidell, LA according to 2002 projections is 27,500. Just a short 30 minute drive east or west will put you in wither the French Quarter or the Mississippi Gulf Coast casinos!!

we live in a township of 90,000... in a county of 400,000 within the the metro new york city area that includes Suffolk and Nassau counties of Long Island, Westchester, Rockland Counties in the lower Hudson Valley, Bergen, Passaic, Hudson , and Middlesex counties in New Jersey and Fairfield County in Conn. for a total of 20.5 millon people in a 50 mile radius of Manhattan.

The city of Richmond itself had 186,000 in 2002 according to the statistics I found. However, the Greater Richmond area had 886,000 (this includes the surrounding counties of Chesterfield, Hanover, and Henrico.)
The other cities I've lived in:
Idaho Springs, Colorado: 1889
Denver, Colorado: 554,636
Craig, Colorado: 9,189
Phippsburg, Colorado: only has 50 homes and is unincorporated so the only data I could find was for the whole county which includes Steamboat Springs-14,088; the nearest town which is definitely larger than Phippsburg only has 850 people.
Powhatan, Virginia-22,843 (my parents still live there)
Athens, Georgia-140,372
Murray, Utah (suburb of Salt Lake City)-34,024

Of all the places I've lived, I'd say the small towns are definitely my favorite.

In the community I live in, there's less than 3,000. In the county I live in, there's about 60,000.
