What is the Poly slide like?

Just wondering if anyone could give me some info on the volcano pool. Is the slide enclosed or open? Is the slide very long? The pool is pics looks great. Trying to decide between BC or the poly. thanks..amy

The slide at the Polynesian is enclosed. I was very surprised at how long the ride was down to the bottom. They have a wonderful red light/green light system to prevent any mishaps. My son and nephew were up and down it all day and had the time of there lives. They are water park pros and it passed their test of approval. It was a lot of fun. I only rode it once because I was too cold, but I'm sure they'd attest to how great it was over and over again. Besides the view frm this pool is breathtaking...we watched the fireworks from poolside one night. Barbara

Thanks for the reply. Is the tube dark? My DD loves slides but if they are dark she does not like them..thanks..amy

It's not total darkness but it's not completely lit either... There must be lights somewhere, but I didn't notice them. You can definitely see. My DS is afraid of the dark also and had no problem. As a warning, they only let you go down it one person at a time, so if she's at all fearful, she'll have to go it alone. Barbara
