What is the Odyssey place in Epcot.

I remember it was a resturant, I ate there along time ago. It is still on the maps in the passporter and unoffical guidebooks. So what is it now?

I don't think anything is in there now. They should put something in there if it is still empty. A first aid station is around the corner from it, but that's all I know.

The old Odyssey building is still standing where Future World is ending and World Showcase begins. We pass it all the time and frequently use their rest rooms since it is so quiet in there. I understand Disney uses it for CM training and special meals and shows during the Food and Wine Festival.

The first aid station and baby care center are in that building. They use the building for special events sometimes.

I have never noticed the Odyssey before, but for our Grand Gathering event in May we booked the Storybook Dinner and International Desert Buffet and we were told to meet at the Odyssey Restaurant.

In the late 80's it was a hamburger place with a toppings bar - not unlike Peco's Bill's. There was a stage at one end and one night DH & I were having dinner when all of a sudden a whole group of characters started performing on stage!! They also came around to the tables too. It was great but by the time we got back there, in 1993, the restaurant had closed.

I love finding old random threads like this and resurrecting them. 10 years ago this thread started and The Odyssey is STILL sitting mostly unused. If it's still like this in 10 years, we'll know capital improvements are not high on Disney's list for Epcot.

I know at the 2014 Food & Wine Festival you could get Craft Beers there. They also sold 3 small plates to go along with the beers: House-made Country Pate with Pickled Carrots and Farmhouse Bread, Muffuletta Pinwheels with House-made Pickles and Spicy Pimento Cheese Spread with Crackers.
