What is the nicest hotel within walking distance?

We are traveling in late January with our 2 year old and 5 year old. We will be using the stroller so I would rather not deal with the buses/car/trams. I am willing to walk probably up to a mile or 2 just as long as we can walk safely with a stroller. We also like to take an afternoon break for the kids to nap. A Disney hotel would be great but i really just want the nicest room possible. Our favorites at WDW are The Poly, GF, Wilderness or Yacht Club.

If you are looking for non-resort properties, our favorite is Hyatt House. Brand new hotel with full buffet breakfast included. Also located over a Walgreens. Totally convenient!

If you're looking for something off-site, I really liked the Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance hotel. It's about a 10 minute walk to the park, depending on fast you walk. The rooms were nice (modern) and it had a pretty impressive water park that the kids like (no real pool for lap swimming). Unfortunately, it does not include breakfast and it's on the pricier side.

I second the Grand. Closest to the parks, own entrance in and out of DCA, has some of the best places to eat. Rooms just renovated, nice pool area. Based on your WDW faves, this would fit in nicely.

I think walking a mile or two to your hotel is going to get old really fast if you are going back and forth very many times. There aren't very many that I would consider both really nice and walking distance. If you are looking offsite, Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance is probably a good option (still longer than I would want to walk) and I think there is a couple other new ones just a little farther distance. Based on your criteria, I think you'll need to look onsite.

If you want on site the Grand or DLH. If you want off-site The Courtyard Theme Park View. The Courtyard has nice big rooms, a great water play area for your kids ages and fabulous customer service. I'd say the service at this Courtyard is better than I've ever had at a Disney Hotel.

I've stayed at both the Hilton Anaheim and the Anaheim Marriott and both are like a 10/15 minute walk from the entrance plaza off of Harbor Blvd. The Hilton was nicer than the Marriott in my opinion, and neither was a huge pain in the butt to walk to the park. There are sidewalks all the way.

I would say Courtyard theme park entrance hands down !! easy 7 minute walk from lobby to security and the room even have a space at the front door of the room to park your stroller out of the way !!!

Another vote for the Courtyard. That is the nicest walkable off site hotel IMO. I just stayed at the Anaheim Marriott and thought the Courtyard was much nicer and a lot more going for it.

I would go with PPH. Biggest normal rooms of the onsite hotels, and they are bright and pretty, too.

You do have to follow the signs to get to the parks now (unless you book a table service at the Grand every morning) which is a bummer, but it still meets your walking qualifications.
