What is the most terrifying thing you have done voluntarily?

Went to MK with no Genie+

jk I have gone 160 in a car before, on a closed circuit. Still not a smart thing to do

I was hiking once where I got lost. Once I got my bearings straight I looked on a map and saw the trail I was trying to reach was down the side of a somewhat steep embankment. Instead of going around it, I went down the embankment. It was not a good idea as I've heard of people who were seriously injured or even killed doing something similar.

But that was a while ago. These days (not that I'm in anywhere near the same shape) I probably would preload my path in a mapping app on my phone and carry USB power banks. Even without cellular/internet services, it should still have inertial navigation and GPS which would show my location on a map. Back then I was using a paper map and compass.

Went zip lining in Jamaica. So scared on the first zip, but ended up loving it.

Visiting Soviet Russia to include soviet Georgia when tanks rolled in soon after our visit.
Having a kid
Skiing off-piste
Traveling as a single woman in the Middle East
Working late in a dark basement where all sorts of ne'erdowells had access
Oh - and that one trip to one place where... I'm SO not going to write about that here or anywhere... it ended well but could have gone south VERY quickly. And it was a very well rated place.
Moral of the story: stay in the middle of the herd in all things. The Lions go after the animals on the edges.

Sounds totally dumb but it's kayaking. Not a (real) swimmer and was scared to death I would tip and be trapped and drown. Kept thinking: "Why didn't I take my Noseclips!!!" (because it could have at least tried swimming/treading water etc. etc......I had the whole scenario go before my eyes).

I survived and ended up liking it a lot. Want to go again.

I met a guy off of Craigslist Personals. It has been almost 17 years and still haven't gotten rid of him!:love::love::love:

Riding the Maliboomer at California Adventure.

Rode on the "High Roller" coaster at Stratosphere Tower in Las Vegas....it was very scary as the track was very creaky and shaky...they eventually removed it

Currently. Tomorrow I’m getting cortisone shots in both knees. Am not a big fan of needles but u need some relief .

Long term terrified: not taking back my husband years ago and being a single parent.

Skydiving.

Along with @ChrisFL, did the Sky Jump at Stratosphere. The only terrifying part was walking the plank to jump. The ride down was too slow and rather disappointing.
