What is the most boring vacation you have been on?

I don't know if I really have a most boring one. If anything it was visiting my sister in Florida when I was a teen. We didn't do much as my parents were just wanting to visit.
Otherwise my least favorite has been traveling with my inlaws. We have very very different schedules, preferences, attitudes etc. I will not travel with them again...willingly.

growing up, visiting my grand parents who lived in a very small town (200) in ID. Nothing to do

When I was around 20 I went on a week long trip to LBI with DH’s (then boyfriend’s) family. There was nothing to do at night. As kids in their early 20s we didn’t want to hang around the house after dinner. I was used to Ocean City, NJ where we could enjoy the boardwalk at night.

It got boring real fast in LBI - wake, eat, beach, eat, bed, repeat.

Vegas. I was 8 and 14 when my family went. Why anyone would want to bring their children there is beyond me.

Family vacation with DH family when they all want to inside watching TV and going to bed by 9 - with multiple teenagers involves. So boring.....

Our family holiday in Hungary comes to mind. We stayed in a villa that was pretty isolated and rural so we were completely dependent on the car to get anywhere.

I also remember being in the Vendée in France and it just raining the whole trip. We decided to leave early because there wasn’t really anything to do in the rain.

When I was ten or so, my father and his friend took us to the friend's hunting club for a weekend. I guess it was still the dark ages, so my sister and I had to stay back with the women and girls to clean and cook while the men and boys went hunting and fishing. Not that I would have shot a deer anyway. Then I had to stand around in the kitchen watching the women skin, dress, and gut dead deer. Then I was supposed to help cook the resulting venison but I refused after watching how it was readied. Why I'm not vegan today I'm sure I don't know.

When not being horrified, we basically stood around for the entire weekend. The only, and I do mean *only* thing to do was play this game where you swung a metal ring hanging from the ceiling on a metal string at a hook on the wall to try and catch it. So boring. We were supposed to go back the next hunting season and I remember begging my father to not agree to take us along.

Dreams, la romana, Dominican Republic. We were so ready to come home.

In September, 2020 we rented a remote beach house because we were going stir crazy. Since we were afraid to go anywhere except the beach it was very boring. We didn’t care because at least we were bored somewhere else.

Basketball tournament long weekend in Birmingham Alabama in the 1990s…

Going umteen times to visit DHs family. Not a vacation at all. Small town, nothing to do (300 people and 5 bars on Main Street) awful

Florida (30A) a few years ago. It was a big trip, including step-kids and my mother in-law even came. We had a nice big condo. On paper, it should have been a good time. It did not really end up that way unfortunately.

It rained pretty much all day every day except for the second day. The condo while very nice, did not have walk to the beach access. Every time we wanted to go to the beach we had to load up the vehicle drive, park, walk (while lugging all that junk). The second day was our only real day of "spending at the beach" because the rest of the days it was raining. We got to do a little bit of beach here and there on a couple other days, but the rain pretty much kept us inside the rest of the time. During that time we got to sit around and watch TV, and listen to my mother in-law complain about everything and the step-kids fight. It was an experience I do not want to soon repeat.

Vegas. I was 8 and 14 when my family went. Why anyone would want to bring their children there is beyond me.
I'd have to say the exact same place! I was 13 and we went to Circus Circus and I was bored out of my mind at that age. I was too old to think the kids games were fun.

The longest week of my life was in the mid 90's at Virginia Beach.
I can see that. I grew up there and there truly was nothing to do at that beach. I remember when we got there, I thought, "Oh cool! This is just like Myrtle Beach!" and as we rode down the strip, I kept looking for the rides. I thought, "any minute now..." Nothing. It was just beachwear shops and hotels. Why would anyone want to go there? My first job was at one of those candy shops.
