What is the Memory Maker Ride Photos process

Hi,

I am on the fence about adding Memory Maker to our upcoming trip.
I get the fact that the locations are limited and how many pictures in front of the hat can you get.

My main interest is in ride photos.
I have read some threads that people are seeing ride photos just appearing in their account?

Do you have to wait in the line at each attraction as if you were purchasing a photo to have it added to your Magic Band?

I am not thrilled about the prospect of standing in another line. A kiosk would be nice.

Thanks

We went up the TV's that showed our pictures, got the numbers, went to the desk or register or whoever you buy the photos from at that particular ride and gave them the photo number. She scanned our MM card (no MB, offsite) and then we went on our way. The whole thing took about 5-10 minutes. Sometimes less.

The pictures didn't show up right away. I think those were the last to show up they took a few ays. But DH snapped a picture of the number on the TV's so if we did have any problems we could call them.

We haven't used memory maker, but we did use photo pass +, and I believe they are essentially the same thing. Assuming they are the same (with the one change of using a MB rather than a photo pass card), then yes, you would need to stand in line to have the photo added. While this can be time consuming, I think it is worth it. Some if our very best photos from our last trip are the ride photos. Also, with photo pass +, you could write down the number of your photo after each ride, and then have them all added together at one if the photo pass places, which made it a little easier. Not sure if it's the same with the memory maker system, so hopefully someone who's used it will comment.

We have also used PP+ and aside from the cards vs bands and MM being all digital, I don't think there is any difference in the collection process for your images. Grab the number and head to the photo counter. There was sometimes a queue there and the only way around it is if you know you are going to be in the area again, you can note the photo number when you exit the attraction and come back later. Only down side with this is losing your slip, collecting several and not remembering which photo it was and just plain forgetting about it and going back to the resort without the picture.

Unless there is a huge line at the counter, we eventually figured that it really is six and half a dozen in terms of saving time by coming back unless you know for sure you are riding that attraction again later.

The process is get your ride photo number. Go over to the desk. Tell them the number. Scan MM. We rarely waited in line.

I waited in several lines to do this last week. In fact, I had to wait at least a few minutes every single time. Which was a time suck on a crowded day in the precious morning hours. Even one person ahead of me in the photo line could take awhile for some reason. And a couple of the pics didn't show up and I had to call anyway.

I just came back and used MM. I had two attraction rides, Buzz and Splash Mtn. The Splash Mtn didnt show up after I went to the counter and had it added. I went to the Photo center the next day in Epcot and reported it missing and within 2 days they had found it and added it. Interesting thing about the Buzz one - when I rode the ride, my pic did not show up. The only pic it could have been was black. So I got to go in the back door and ride it again and get a pic taken and attached to my MM. It was cool!

I also only had 3 days of pictures and got 140 pics taken in 3 days - $1 per pic.
