Is it 25% off?

We have a BWV reservation for December, and just decided to fly down. Flights are outrageous unless we go a day early. It's fine for our schedule, but now we need another night of hotel. We'll be using DME and not renting a car, so I'd like to stay on property. Don't really care where, just want the transfer to BWV to be easy and the room not cost a fortune for one day. (I'd prefer not to use points since we have already planned them for another trip.) Will not need DDP or tickets for that one night. We'll probably go to DTD, so something close would be nice.

I just want to know in my mind what kinds of prices to expect when I call so I can make a quick decision. Also, do I call Member Services to book this?

Thank you!

I have 2 studios booked at BWV for Easter at 25% off the rack rate. You do have to book this through MS. Keep in mind that the rates are not always available. I would have rather booked a 2 BR but the discount was not offered, but the studio was. Also, only the preferred/garden view was available for the discount, not the standard view. I was still glad to get any kind of discount considering it was Easter week!

Good luck!

It is 25%, if the discount is available. I would have my doubts that it will be available this close. But it doesn't hurt to try. If you are looking for the cheapest room, 25% off a studio at a DVC resort may not be cheaper than a value resort.

Do DVC members get a discount off of non-DVC rack rates (i.e. values and moderates)?

No. We buy Annual Passes and get discounts on rooms that way.

Act fast. I suspect most of the discounts this close to your trip may be gone.:confused3

There might not be any cash rooms available as well as no discounted cash rooms. Don't plan on a 25% discount on DVC rooms in December at this late date. You'll need to call MS.

If MS doesn't have anything, you can always call CRO and see if they have anything available at the BW. It might not be the same category room you have on points (they don't sell BW view or Standard rooms at CRO).

I ran into this situation once, I got frequent flyer tickets for a day early and was staying at BWV. I got an AP rate room at BWI for the night, then just had bell services put the luggage into storage in the morning (BWV room was not ready at BWI checkout time).

I am getting married on 12/27 and needed a block of rooms but I don't think there were any 25% discounts during the peak season when I tried to book months ago.
