I've read a few posts referring to a celebration starting on May 5th. I am going to WDW on May 7th - is it going to be JAMMED with people????

Hi...all the parks are celebrating DL 50th..new rides, new shows...I don't really know if anyone truly knows how the crowds are going to be influenced....I've heard people on both sides of the fence....we're going to prepare for the worst and be happily suprised if their wrong. The only definate change I've noticed so far is that on may 5 epcot closes at 3pm....Good Luck and enjoy your trip!

Why would Epcot close at 3pm? Anyone know why?

There's a Press Event that evening,I believe it's for the opening of Soarin'. When Mission:Space opened they had a big shindig with Epcot closing early.Sounds like the same type of thing will be going on for Soarin'.

I'm not sure if Soarin' is opening then. When I called to make a ps for the ice cream social at the Garden Grille in the Land - they said that now it's not reopening until June - and it's closed because of the work on Soarin'.

They never said Soarin' wasn't going to be open - just the Garden Grille. I just assumed......

Soarin' will be open for AP preview the weekend of April 16 & 17. Don't know why the Garden Grill will be closed so much longer.
