What is the longest you would be prepared to wait in line for an attraction?

In the past, I've done 90 minutes for attractions, specifically Splash at WDW and Indy at DL. But that was before FastPass. Now, we rarely wait more than 30.

But for a *show* like Fantasmic, or parade -- that's another story. That we'll still do 90 minutes for. We just consider the wait time to be some "downtime". :)

I have waited up to an hour, thanks to my son, but never again! My limit is 20 mins, and with FOTL at USO I never have to wait more than 10.

20 minutes and then I'm out. Mission:Space is the ride I would wait the longest for, but even that isn't worth more than 20 minutes for me.

But then again, I'm only 90 minutes away from WDW, so I'm spoiled.

Have you ever gone back within the Fast Past times and had a long wait?

I waited 2 1/2 hours this past summer to ride Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point. :teeth: It was well worth the wait, too. :teeth:

I did about an hour at Cedar Point for Millenium Force. We got lucky with Dragster, our wait was only about 45 minutes.

Outside of new attractions, I think my "tolerance limit" is about 30-40 minutes.

Several years ago a new ride called Oblivion was built at Alton Towers in England (my favourite rollercoaster place). My DH and I went the weekend after the ride had opened (they close the park over the winter months) so the whole park had only been reopened for just a week. Anyway they have not invented fastpasses there then. So we qued for the ride as I really wanted to try it. We waited for 3 hours!! Then we found out the ride was only 11 seconds long!!!! Oh well, it was quite a good ride and I have been on it many times since, although now I won't wait for more than half an hour if fastpasses are not available and will use fastpasses as much as possible.

20-25 minutes. We go to WDW too often to wait longer, and there are too many things to do that don't take so long. For someone who doesn't go as often, I can understand longer waits.

No longer than 15-20 minutes. I'm spoiled over here at Universal...then again, I ride before crowds arrive, then enjoy the rest of the day watching some shows! :teeth: Never would I be able to handle waiting for a ride longer than that...but since I go every weekend, it's not as big of a deal missing out on a ride...

I have a story similar to danauk. Way back in the 80's before fastpass and gigacoasters we once waited almost 3 hours to ride "The Edge" at Great America. It's a 4 second freefall type ride. You know the one. Elevator ride up, move forward and hang over "the edge" waiting to drop. What were we thinking?? (BTW - it was opening weekend)

August of 2001 we had flown from CA to Illinois to visit friends. We drove to Cedar Point in Ohio. We waited almost 2.5 hours to ride Millenium Force at night. We waited extra time for the last row. We only waited about 1 hour that morning at park opening for front row, but as the day wore on the line gets longer and longer...

That being said, at WDW with FastPass and so many other options, I would probably not wait more than 30 minutes. At DL probably 45 minutes. But I have a feeling with Tower of Terror opening next month at DL that we may be putting that wait limit to the test later this summer:crazy:

We stood in line for over 2.5 hours to try Rocket Rods when it first opened in DL... never ever again. I go off season to all amusement parks. I cant STAND standing in line for more than 20 minutes.

Thanks for the replies.

I think we persevere and wait longer for certain attractions as we don't visit WDW too often, not by choice of course! It's always lovely to just walk straight on with little or no queuing though. :D

I try to go on the off season times, or I go early enough so the lines will be minimal.
I skipped test track for years before I went on it because of the lines, 2 hour wait? I don't think so.
Now I get fastpass if I want to ride it.
Fastpass was the best invention Disney came up with, LOL.

Yes I agree, but they are not always available. We have been in the MK and sometimes the return times have been as high as 4/5hrs!
