What is the longest you have waited on a table with PS?

Hmm....interesting! I'm a little nervous now as we have ADR's at Le Cellier in exactly two weeks from today! Yahoo!! I'm wondering though if the reason the waits were so long had to do with the time you choose for dinner? Our ADR for that evening is 7:15 for dinner....surely they are not going to make us wait long on that!! Let's hope anyway otherwise we will be grabbing the leftovers off the plates going by!! Tee-hee! :lmao:

It would help to know the number of people in your party for these long waits. I have a feeling that might have something to do with it. I have a party of 10 for August at LeCellier, and i have a feeling it's gonna be awhile! i just wonder why they can't plan ahead for large parties of 6 or more and have it set up to help cut down the wait time.

That is the difference between reservations and priority seating. With reservations, they really expect to get one seated at one's reservation time. That means when that table at which they expect to seat one's party opens up 30 minutes before one's time, they do not seat another party there, but hold it open. Priority seating means they over book and if they are always running late it means their estimates for no show rate and average dining time are off.

Our longest wait was Liberty Tree Tavern in December, 2004. We had a 4:15 PS and the monorail broke down on our way to the Magic Kingdom. So, we sat on the train for a good 15-20 minutes. Honestly we were running a little late for our PS anyway, but would have arrived with 5 minutes of the PS time. However, with the breakdown and then chaos at the station when we finally pulled in, it was almost 5:00 until we got to the Liberty Tree Tavern. They told us since we missed our PS time they could not seat us until at least 6:00. When I explained to the manager why we were late, he basically said too bad, that's the best I can do. We waited because the kids wanted to eat there, but I can honestly say that was probably our last time to eat at LTT.

lecelliar about 45 minute wait. they were turning walk ups away that day. booked solid and very busy!

I see what you mean, that does make sense. I was told by disney dining if i book through a Grand Gathering, it would be set up ahead of time. Obviously, for 10 people at LeCellier, a table of 10 is not going to open up anytime soon! We will need several tables to accomodate 10 people so some type of "hold" would be necessary for those 3-4 tables.

we were a grand gathering in january (8 people) and waited about half an hour at lecellier... but that was better than in aug when we waited nearly an hour... and during that hour we saw them turn away about 50 people w/out PS's!

Liberty tree Tavern. We waited for 30 min. and the food was the most horrible meal ever. Never again.

Family of 4. November of 2004, waited 1 hour for Ohana and 1 hour for Garden Grille!

I don't think I will change my ressie just change time to earlier. before dinner crowd.

We checked in last Oct 10 min early for our ADR... and sat, and waited, after 1/2 hour of watching others get tables, my dad got upset and made me ask about our adr... and they lost us!!! The manager came out and apologized, but it still took 15 min after that!! Since we were on the DP - oh well... but it was a good 45 min to an hour four our adr, so we missed illuminations - so much for my careful planning!!

Yep that was our time, and yep it was during free dining, and yep people without adr's kept coming in begging to be seated, we were a party of 5 4 adults one 9 yr old... I just enjoyed sitting in the a/c and talking to my parents, I didnt even realize how long we were waiting, my dad did tho!!

Liberty Tree Tavern in December 2004. We had a PS for 5 pm before the MVMCP and after waiting an hour and many people with PS's after us being seated, I asked the manager what the delay for us was. He said that they only had a few tables for 2 and the people were making no efforts to leave these tables...I wanted to say....of course not...they were trying to stay in the restaurant until 7 pm when they could re-enter the park for the party. I insisted that they seat us at one of the tables for 4 that had been vacant for almost a half hour....they seated us right away and then tried to rush us through our meal....

1/2 hr -45 minutes at 'Ohana.....other than that most places were around 15 minutes at the most even Le Cellier.

We waited over an hour for PS at Crystal Palace. We had a lunch reservation for 2:15. We arrived about 2:00, and were not called in until after 3:00. The meal changes from lunch to dinner at 3:00. My brother is an attorney, and argued with the server and manager until we were billed for lunch. He was not loud, angry or rude, just very persistant. We had arrived early for our meal, and that we were not seated until an hour later is beyond our control. (Note: the very persistant but not angry loud or rude is a family trait, I do it too. I just can't threaten legal action).
