Hi,
I'm a total newbie here. The wife and I went to WDW for our honeymoon 14 years ago and are finally going back. The kids are big enough to ride everything now, so here we come in Mid-June.
My wife even found our "4 Day, Three Parks Passes" (that's all the parks they had then) with an unused day on each! :woohoo: Any guesses on what a 4 day pass cost in 1992? :rotfl2:
Anyhoo, Thanks for all the great info I am getting on the boards. I'm looking forward to the trip! Maybe it won't be another 14 years before the next one. :wave2:

The longest I've been away since I became addicted was almost exactly 2 years! Uggh, that was rough!

Wow! 14 years is a long time!! Welcome to the DISboards! I think that now 2 years is about my MAX to stay away, and if I had anything to say about it, I would go every year!!

Well I went to Disney when I was really lil and don't remember anything so I am not going to count that trip. So technically the longest I have gone between trips was 5 years but that doesn't even count really because I went to Disneyland in between the time. So I guess three years without Disney at all and it was horrible!!! :guilty:

Our longest time between trips was 2 years (from 2002 - 2004). It was because I was pregnant & had then had a newborn. While I missed the World, my pregnancy & DS more then occupied me. :rotfl2:

However when DS was about 6 months old, DH & I got that itch again. :rotfl:

Three months later we were in the world with DS at 9 months old. :lmao: And it was a really great trip!

Now we are back to our yearly (sometimes twice yearly) visits!

The longest time for me was 6 years. It was inbetween honeymoon and first child, after that about every two years.

There was a band trip in April of 1989 (a month before MGM opened) and the next time was October 2003. So, 14 1/2 years for me. We're up to twice a year now, so no more absences like that!

25 years for me. We have a family trip booked for July and I haven't been since 1981. I'm guessing it's a little different from the last time I was there.

the longest for me was let me see went with my parents in like 1972 or 73 then didn't go again until 1998! Then have been going at least once a year if not every 6 months! :thumbsup2  :woohoo:

It's been 12 years for me......can't wait to go back in just 4 days!!! Lots of new things to see & experience since the last time i was there

It's been 13 years for me. Going in November first time with my kids.
Can't wait.

I haven't been in 10 years. My husband has not been since he was 2(almost 38 years ago). We have our first trip together and with our children for mid-August. I can't wait. Who cares about how hot it is in August - we are going to Disney World. We always take a family vacation to the beach in S.C. I have a feeling that is going to change after we all experience "the magic". I have been planning the trip for a while now and have become addicted to this discussion board, trying get all the great tips. :)

It's usually 364 day for us. We go at the same time every year now that we have DD. We always go for her birthday. Before her we went every May.

Over a 14 year period I went 6 times.
Sadly however, it has now been over 6 years since my last visit.

Welcome to the DIS WesM!

Wow, there are several families heading to Disney real soon for their first family trip!! I hope you all have SUCH a magical time!

My family has taken a yearly trip to Disney, if not twice a year, since I was very young. DH and I can usually only afford to go once a year but try to make it twice. However, now that DS is 3 and requires a ticket and we have another little one on the way, I am not sure how long we will be able to keep that up. Hopefully, one day we will find that magical place where money falls out of the sky! ;)

It's been 20 years for me. I haven't been since 1986. And we have a family trip booked for July too. I've only been to the Magic Kngdom and I finding that alot has changed since then.

Well I am only counted since I started going with my family. And by my family I mean after getting married and such.

We went in Jan 2000 and then almost 2 years later when we went in Nov of 01, then it was 2 years later when we went in Nov of 03. Ever since then it is once a year if not more.

Mine has been 31 years. I can remember being strapped in a seatblet with my mother on Space Mountain (1975). Not much safety concerns back then. Now I see you have to be 48 inches to ride and I think my 7 year old will miss by about 1/4 inch.
