Flying out of PIT right now the flights I really want:
Depart 2/11 at 7:05p ($143)
Return 2/17 at 9:45a ($182) or 10:50a ($211)

Or I can book the departure flight today and a return flight through United at 7:42a that has a long layover resulting in us not landing until 2:45. BUT, it's only $120.

Should I wait until Tuesday to see what happens? Or would you just book the SWA out, United home flight?

Please note - 2/17 is President's Day thus the reason I'm a little concerned. And yes I know I can book now and get a credit if the price changes but I don't want to do that.

Keep in mind United has checked bag fees ($25). Hard to say. I had a flight last week that was the perfect time, nonstop. Paid $287. It dropped to $210 a couple weeks later, I got the credit for next time.

Connections can be a pain, I had one in August on Delta where the first flight was delayed and I missed the connection, ended up 4 hours late.

We normally only check bags on the way to MCO so the $25 fee is a bit of a non-issue. Of course if we had the option to check bags for free, we probably would out of convenience.

Hmmmm.......

In days gone by, Tuesdays and Wednesdays were the days where fares were the lowest. I haven't found that to be the case in a while.
