What is the food you won't eat?

This could take a while...

Won't eat:
seafood of any kind
organ meats, tongue, tripe, chitterlings, feet, testicles, or any other "uncommon" meats
brussels sprouts
avocado
cauliflour
cooked cabbage, broccoli, carrots (raw is fine)
zucchini
bean sprouts
greens - spinach, collard, kale
turnips
beets
rutabagas
mushrooms
grapefruit
blueberries
raspberries
tofu
turkey substitutions for pork or beef
sorry you asked, yet? lol
squash
"stinky" cheeses
black olives
pickled anything other than cucumbers (and then only dills)

I'm sure there are more...

I decided once that, if they serve it on Iron Chef or Iron Chef
America, I won't eat it. lol

There is honestly nothing I WONT eat.
I'll try anything once or even twice. There are things I prefer not to eat, but I'll try 'em.

Wow! After looking at some people's lists, I'm never going to call myself a pikcy eater again :rotfl:

My big things are mushrooms and olives. I hate the texture of mushrooms and the taste of olives.

I don't drink anything with caffeine and actually hate the taste of coffee. It tastes like ash to me.

I also don't eat any seafood other than crabcakes.

One common thing I hate is raisins. I can't stand biting into something and getting a raisin in my mouth. The texture and flavor of them ick me out.

I'll eat raisins as a snack, but I hate them in baked goods too. They ruin a perfectly good cinnimon roll or oatmeal cookie.

I also don't eat tapioca pudding and Tootsie rolls.

It's fun to see what kind of skeeves people out about food. Organ meats, yeah, yuck, who would like them? But normal stuff that most people eat...it makes you wonder why or how. For instance, I hate, hate, hate broccoli. Most people like it or at least don't mind it. I just can't do it. DD LOVES it. Don't know why. I never cooked it for her! She and DH absolutely HATE mushrooms. I love them. DD has been getting interested in cooking and has developed many new tastes. She made me a chicken curry dish and really did a good job with it; very well prepared. But I just dont like curry. It was funny to see me try and choke it down. I appreciated how much trouble she went to and her effort and skill but boy......yuck! :rotfl:

My list is a similar combination of everyone elses....

Organ meat
Wild meat (deer, elk, buffalo)
Seafood other than cod, halibut, crab, lobster
peanut butter
cream cheese
stinky cheese
brussel sprouts
eggs
sushi
beets
canned meat
not brave with ethnic foods, but cant say i dont like them...
oatmeal/cream of wheat stuff
cereal

anything slimy, odd or disgusting :rolleyes1

Cannot drink coffee or milk

onions(cooked or raw)doesn't matter- don't like 'em
mushrooms- ewwww
cooked celery and green peppers- but LOVE them both raw
sweet pickle relish in anything- we like dill
coconut

OK, then, what have you tried that you won't eat anymore? ;)

Moutain Oysters
Oooh! That's one I didn't think of. Though everything on my list was stuff I've tried and didn't like, this is the one food I wouldn't even try. Unless I was on a reality show or something. ;)

Oh, just thought of one more! I also would not try those eggs with the embryo still in them, unless of course, eating one could win me a million bucks! :rotfl:

Mushrooms are a funny one. I like them raw, but cooked - yuck! They taste like rubber. Dh likes them cooked, but hates them raw - says they taste like dirt. :rotfl2:

Rocky Mountain Oysters? I've eaten them.
The "Testicle Festival" is a big thing around here... alcohol figures prominantly in it... imagine that. :scared1:
Actually they aren't too bad, but the dipping sauce is VERY important. I can eat just about anything smothered in a REALLY good dipping sauce. ;)

What kind of dip do they have for those

I'm an adventurous eater, so I only have a couple...

1. Popcorn - I can't stand the way it goes sort of soggy and makes that weird squeaky noise against your teeth...makes me cringe!

2. Liver or any other weird organ - but I do really like tongue

3. Peanut butter - I love peanuts, but can't stand peanut butter

I am not sure what was in it. It was at a restaurant/bar, so I didn't make it. It was creamy though, very thick, a little spicy (maybe horseradish?) a little tomatoe-y.... kinda like a really good Fry Sauce.

I like the taste of oranges and drink orange juice but cant eat an orange. although canned mandarin oranges I dont mind.

...how 'bout head cheese??? :rolleyes1

Thats what I was going to say:lmao: My aunt LOVES that nasty looking stuff:sick:

Mine is

Green peppers, actually all peppers except pickled banana peppers
sushi
heart, tongue, balls, anything like that
sardines
the fat of pork, beef, venison, chicken--like the meat though!
Any leftovers more than a day old
horseradish by itself...I like cocktail sauce with my veiny shrimp :lmao:

cooked carrots, I only like raw carrots

dh will eat pretty much anything except peas...they bust and pop open like a zit he says

I will eat or at least try almost anything, but I will not eat any baby animal - no lamb, no veal, no baby birds still in the shell :scared1: )

I love all seafood and shellfish. Squid and snails are some of my favorites.

I think the only vegetables I won't eat are beets and fennel.

Can't stand black licorice, just the thought of the flavor makes my stomach upset.

What? Please tell me you aren't referring to eggs. You know that eggs are unfertilized right?

No, I have no problem with unfertilized eggs, I eat them all the time. I'm talking about the ones that some Asian cultures eat that are fertilized eggs. They're actually unhatched baby birds. I think someone else mentioned it in this thread.
