What is the Fan Club?

I am new to this board and I keep seeing references to discounts using the "Fan Club" card. Can someone please tell me what this is?

Some companies, through their Human Resources Director, apply for Fan Club cards to give out to their employees. The Fan Club card gives various discounts at Universal parks, hotels and restaurants. Here's a link about the Fan Club card:
