What is the F & W festival? I am leaving tomorrow and would like to know what this is? I know it is in Epcot. And is it worth attending, sounds like it may be a good time to head to other parks.

During F&W there are additional boothes set up to offer samples of food and wine/beer from various counties. In addition to the regular countries of Epcot, other countries set up boothes to sample from. Most samples are in the $4 dollar range, although they vary from booth to booth. There are also wine tasting, wine seminars, and cooking demonstrations. In the United States they have a concert called Eat To The Beat. When we went they had the Four Tops and Gloria Gaynor. It is a fun time to go.

Ohhhh no...it's a great time to go. My favorite event of the year at my favorite park. Lots of different tastes to try and a great atmosphere. It can be crowded, but if you hit EPCOT either Thursday or Friday, it won't be that bad.

It's a great time to go! The Eat to the Beat Concerts are a lot of fun and the extra country kiosks are great. If you are into wine tasting and stuff there are a lot of seminars and stuff, some free, but we didn't take advantage of any of that.

We also enjoy trying the foods...we don't do the dining plan when we go during the F&W, we sort of graze around the Showcase and try new things rather than going to sit-down restuarants. Of course you can have a good time at Disney anytme no matter what's going on!

Yes, it's definitely a good idea to dedicate a day to F&W and not make plans to sit down and eat (except for maybe breakfast) at a restaurant. It's a day of leisurely walking and grazing, so you're not gonna get hungry for a meal. Also, between $2-4+ per sample plate, by the end of the day you'll have spent a good chunk of funds on food as it is - so unless you aren't worried about your budget, that's most people's food money for the day.
