What is the Express Monorail, is it different from the regular monorail?

Also, I am arriving to Disney World for the first time on Nov. 28th and I'm staying at CBR and I was thinking of going to 1900 Park Fare for dinner and hanging around to watch the Electric Water Pageant and the fireworks over MK from the beach of the Grand Floridian. (Is that allowed even if we aren't staying there?) After the shows we would probably be tired from traveling and want to head to the hotel so what is the quickest way...Take a bus from the GF to DTD and then catch a bus to CBR or maybe take the monorail to epcot and get a direct bus to CBR from there? I mainly want to avoid the MK crowds after the fireworks so I don't think it would be a good idea to take the monorail there and then catch a bus right?

Also, on the day we're planning on visitng the MK we want to leave the park for dinner at Ohana's. What is the quickest way to get there?

Thanks!!

The express monorail goes from the TTC to the Magic Kingdom without stopping at the resorts. The resort monorail will stop at all the resorts. There is no problem with watching the water pageant or the fire works from the beach. I am unsure of the quickest way back to your resort. To get to Ohanas you can either take the boat or the resort monorail. I am unsure of which one is quicker, but they will be pretty close. The boat may be quicker because the resort monorail will stop at the Contemporary and the TTC before the polyenesian. Have fun and enjoy your stay.:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

No matter what you do, you will run into crowds as MK closes for the night. I would hop on the monorail at the GF just as the fireworks end...go to the TTC and move to the Epcot line. Then, get the bus to CBR. Or, you could just head over to the TTC and watch the EWP and fireworks from there, then head right up to the Epcot line as soon as the fireworks end. Depends on what you want to do.
I wouldn't go to DTD and then switch to the CBR bus. That involves a ton of time. But, you will avoid the MK crowds.

Thanks so much to you both for the replies!

I didn't think about watching the fireworks from the TTC, that's a great idea also!

Ohana is awesome! Go hungry! They give you loads of food!!

We took the monorail. Mostly because I just wanted to ride the monorail. :lmao:

Go to the TTC and actually get in the que for the ferry boat. You can stand there and watch the fireworks and hear the music. Then when it's over, just turn around and leave the que. You can also just hop on a Ferry before the fireworks and ride back and forth across the lake. No matter where you are, you'll have a great view but might not hear the music depending on where you are.

Although MK crowds are large, it also means they send the largest amount of buses during closing. Personally I would watch the fireworks at the grand, then monorail to Mk and hop on a bus to your resort.
