What is the Disneyland Resort's policy regarding camel-packs or other water packs?

I find it a great way to keep hydrated on long bike rides, hikes and runs around home, but are they allowed in the parks?

I've seem people with them.

I know several people who won't hit the parks without one, but I already carry around enough weight as it is.

I use to carry one, but found that the tube caught when getting on and off the rides.

Same as the first reply here, I don't carry one but have seen plenty of people with them inside the park. I think you'll be just fine.

Hi TT,

I see people with them often enough. I don't think you'll have any issues.

Thank you all! Just didn't want to take up valuable carry on space if I couldn't use it.

We used one when we were there a couple weeks ago and had no problems. It was a real life-saver and saved a lot of money on drinks.

My husband wore his in the parks when we were there. It was really nice to have, and he plans on bringing it again in the fall.

I don't think it's needed, you can get filtered water from anywhere that sells fountain drinks, all you need to do is ask for a cup of water. It is free and since it is also used for the non carbonated drinks, it is filtered (the same way that Dassani water is filtered at the factory, but often leaves fewer impurities as the health department requires their filters to be changed more often than the ones at the factory). Also, always ask for large cups, otherwise they will usually give kids cups.

We bring ours when we go in the summer... You can ask for a pitcher of water whenever you eat at the restaurants to refill and I recommend loading up on ice that way it keeps you hydrated and cool throughout the day!

But you can put any kind of drink in a camelback.

We took one on our trip last October, and now I won't hit the parks without one! I know you can get free water other places, but that can really take up a ton of time. I felt like it was great because we could grab a drink whenever we happened to be thirsty, even in line. It was especially great for my little girl, because I often worry she's not getting enough to drink. You kind of tend to forget about it in the busyness of touring, but having it there made it so easy. We have a middle-sized Camelback, and it was big enough to use as our only bag for snacks, change of clothes for the kiddo, etc. Plus, it really is pretty lightweight, especially if you are used to hiking with the Camelback chocked full of extra junk.
As for on the rides, we did take it off while riding. It fit just fine between our legs or in the pouch in front. And if we were tired of it, we just left it with the stroller.
One more plus: if you fill it with ice early in the day, you can use it to keep snacks like apple slices and string cheese cold!
