At Sci Fi - what is Cookie Monster $4.99 ?

Adult or child dessert ?
How about for a teen ?

What does it consist of ?

::MickeyMo Hi there! I ordered this when I was there in May. It was listed on the Adult's menu. It was really good but I couldn't finish it all. :earboy2: LOL It was 2 big chocolate chip cookies with vanilla ice cream, almonds (I think), and toppings. It was really yummy!! HTH :sunny: Rebecca

I had it in January.

It is described above - basically an ice cream sandwich made with chocolate chip cookies.

I didn't love it. I thought it was OK. I am not a big gourmet, so for me to think something is just "OK", especially dessert, that means it's not something to make a special trip for! We don't have Sci Fi planned for our next trip but if we went back I wouldn't order it again.

DS had a vanilla milkshake that he really liked. It was big, so they put half in a cup for him to take "to go". DH had the sundae and he said it was pretty good.

Why didn't you like it? Were the cookies harder or softer than you like? Was the ice cream melted, making the cookie all soggy?

It was more the flavor than the texture, I think. The cookies were "medium" hardness, if that makes sense! They weren't like soft, just baked cookies. They also weren't hard like Chips Ahoy. I have no problem with Chips Ahoy, but they aren't soft.

The ice cream, if I remember correctly, wasn't like hard hand-dipped ice cream. It was pretty soft, but I don't think it was actually soft serve. It was squished between the cookies so it was hard to tell.

I just didn't care for the flavor. It tasted very "store bought". Like something I would put together at home with stuff from the grocery hoping it would taste like something from a restaurant. And since I am not that particular it is unusual for me to say I really didn't care for a dessert. I tend to be far pickier about cake than other sweets, but the Cookie Monster didn't do it for me.

Thanks! When you said store bought, I immediately thought of the ones you can buy at Disney in a wrapper. I think they're made by Nestle. Now I know, those do have a much different taste than, say, the Main Street Bakery.
