What is the chance?

Relatively speaking, I'm still kinda new at all things Disney. Other than a few trips when I was much younger, I've only spent time researching Disney for the past two years. So, as far as park hours and nighttime entertainment goes, I'm noticing that they are much different than from what I experienced in 2014/15. Two things - MK is closed earlier and there is only one parade. In the two years previous, I didn't see anything in advance of hours/parade schedule similar to this year's. So what gives? What is the chance that hours will change and there will be two electrical parades the last two weeks of August? TIA

I'm sure there will be 2 parades in August as there have been in my past visits.
According to all my research, MK will be open later, like 11pm or midnight..

I'd be careful making assumptions on prior years right now. In spite of record profits, Disney has recently undertaken some pretty significant budget cuts, ostensibly to offset cost overruns in Shanghai. That can mean no hours extensions and no second parades. All you can do is wait and see.

Agree with mom2rtk. In previous years we'd all agree that more hours and parades would be added as the dates neared. This year all bets are off. On top of CM hours being slashed and shorter hours they are now adding extra hours as a paid hard ticket extra on certain nights at MK. Who knows if this will go to multiple nights per week and spread to the other parks? (Hmm, that sounds like a nasty virus). No body knows nuttin' right now.

A sad state of affairs right now. I'd never have guessed that Disney would be less than the "happiest place on earth".
@noahdove, sadly hours are till 10 pm with the exception of EMH Wednesdays.

Given the current state of affairs, it's probably not very likely that there'll be two parades, and it's also likely hours won't change. They might, but don't be planning on it.

I wouldn't bet on hours not changing. However, I would think they would decrease, not increase. Just seems to be the state of things

I can't imagine how cramped it would be during peak times without 2 parades. I've seen fist fights break out, even when there WERE 2 parades, over "territory". The areas along Main Street are so regulated now in terms of how many people can pack into the taped off areas... really? They're going to double that?? Yikes! ...that's my official word on the matter....Yikes!
