I did not know this existed. How much is it? Is there food? Is it for kids? Tell me what you know! Thanks!!

***How much is it?***

Free:D

***Is there food?***

They have a big campfire set up where you can either toast marshmallows or even hotdogs. You are allowed to bring either the marshmallows or the hotdogs and buns, if you like to save money, or you can buy them there. They also sell the sticks to put the marshmallows and hotdogs on.

***Is it for kids?***

Definately. My kids had a great time, roasting the marshmallows and singing along with Chip-n-Dale.

***Tell me what you know.***

The campfire is held at the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds. If you are not staying at the campgrounds, then you should allow yourself at least 30 to 40 minutes to get there, because you have to first park in their parking lot and then take a bus to the campfire. No cars are allowed to go straight to the campfire. Chip-n-Dale sing for a little while and then come out to the audience to pose for pictures and sign autographs and then there is a Disney movie put on after that. The campfire is either 7:00 or 8:00, depending on the time of year you go, so call ahead to the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds and they'll be able to tell you the exact time.

When does the campfire program begin and what is it like?

The campfire program is open to all WDW resort guests. It generally begins around 7:00 pm during the fall/winter season and 8 pm after the time changes in April through the summer. It is held near the Meadow Trading Post in the campfire area. The program begins with a sing-a-long led by a Disney CM and a marshmallow roast around two campfire rings. You may bring your own marshmallows or buy them at the Chuckwagon (roasting sticks and marshmallows are $2). You may also buy pizza, hot dogs, candy, nachos, juice, popcorn, cokes, coffee, beer and other refreshments at the Chuckwagon. While this is going on, Chip and Dale make an appearance to visit with guests and sign autographs. The sing-a-long lasts about 30 minutes. Next, one or two Disney animated features, depending upon the season, are shown on a large outdoor screen. Seating is available in bleachers or on benches. There is also plenty of room to lay out a quilt or blanket. The movie schedule is posted at all comfort stations. In the event of rain, the sing-a-long is still held on the porch of the Meadow Trading Post.

Now, just be careful when you go to Fort Wilderness, because it is the best resort at Disney and you might catch the FW bug and never be happy staying anywhere else again!

I'm looking forward to it. Unfortunetly I will never be able to afford it so the Shades of Green is it for me.
