what is the bounceback offer?

what is the bounceback offer? i hear there was a flyer in the rooms for it. Just got back on June 8th. Are we still eligible???

The bounceback offers look like a giant pocketwatch and are typically on top of the entertainment unit or coffee table in the rooms when you check in.

You have until the end of you stay to call the number on the flier to book eligible dates (from the flier). The CM answering the call will check in the computer system your current reservation status to ensure only those on site are calling to book. You have until midnight of the day you check out to call.

I believe June 8th is a little beyond that point

I heard it was the regular 20% to 30% off based on resort level. You have to book before the day you check out to be eligible for the discount. I almost always book a bouncebeck for my next trip. My september trip is a bounceback offer from my January trip. Hopefully you will be able to take part in an offer on your next trip.

Is there a deposit required to book the bounceback? Or can you book it and figure out the finances later?

If they havn't changed anything from when I booked it over a year ago, it should be the standard, fully refundable, $200 deposit.

Also - they occasionally have 40% off the standard DVC room rates - great for those Friday/Saturday stays if you plan on staying DVC anyway but want to save points. (worked out to $7/point for us last sept)

If it is a bounceback pkg..it is $200 deposit before you check out.If it is like a room only % off, it is one nights stay deposit, again before you checkout

I get those bouncebacks in my room too but I am never in a position to take it. Bummer.

Just returned from the Beach Club (checked out July 4th).

The room did not have a bounce back offer in it - I checked downstairs at the Registration desk - the CM knew what I was talking about (she even said, "Oh yeah, it looks like a big stop watch") - she went into the back room to get me one and came back about 10 minutes later empty handed.

She said there weren't anymore and thought that the bounceback offer had now ended. I was hoping to book for my October trip but apparently, it was not meant to be.

I'm hoping for a bounceback for January 2010. Does anyone know if that would happen for our August trip? When would the 2010 bounceback start?
