What is the best/worst/craziest ride rumor you have heard?

What are the most outrageous ride rumors you have heard? Mine was that they were gonna change the whole theming of MGM to Mickey battles the villans!

I heard that they are redoing Pirates to include Captain Jack Sparrow. Is this actually true or just a rumor? I love Pirates the way it is but putting Johnny Depp in there couldn't hurt!

I heard this was true, I think it's even in the unoffical guide.

Really! I love the idea but I find it odd that they would add him...I mean Pirates was always good as it was and in really no need of anything new. Oh well! No I get to stare Cap'n Jack!

The rumor/urban legend I heard (which I now know is untrue) is that the castle can be disassembled and taken down if a huge hurricane is coming.

Ummm actually just the spiers come off for a big storm. Not fully disassembled.

I think that's urban legend, too (a spinoff of the one I heard). I was watching a Travel Channel behind the scenes at WDW special and they mentioned that people thought the spires could be taken off for a hurricane and it's not true.

I was there in early August during Hurricane Charlie and went to the Magic Kingdom half-day before it hit...although they were tying down signs, trees, and benches as well as putting away anything that could blow away or cause damage, CMs did nothing special to protect the castle! It was intact with all its spires!

Kim is correct. I saw the Travel Channel show as well.
The spires do not come off.

I must have heard wrong because I saw the TC special as well and I could have sworn they said that when they built Cinderella's Castle they made it entirely of steel and concrete because of the hurricanes and the spiers can come off if needed in case of a hurricane. OR I am just crazy and heard it wrong. Whatever works!!

Lets see:
I have heard that they are going to gut Spaceship Earth and put in a coaster type ride that will exit and enter the building.
I have heard that Cinderella's Castle can be dismantled in the event of a hurricane.
I have heard that they are going to open the Odyssey and put in a Toy Story Themed character meal.
I have heard that they are going to expand The Hollywood Tower of Terror and make it into a real hotel (now that was the rumored original )

actually the track of spaceship earth is part of the structure hold the sphere . they would have to do some serious rennovations to make it a coater. ANd yes the orginal prototype ToT drawings show it as a fully operating hotel
