It looks as though we are going to be staying at the Yacht Club... what would be the best week to go in September.

Because the Epcot resorts are so adult friendly, does there seem to be less children there than at the other resorts?

I think out of most of them Yacht Club would tend to have fewer children- because most would prefer Beach Club with the children. There is a thread floating around here asking who's going in Sept. it may give you an idea of the most popular weeks. Personally I would think going mid-week after Labor Day or the last week in September would be the better weeks. We went the third week in September in 2001- but that was right after 9/11- it was amazingly unbusy and wonderful but I have a feeling this September will be fairly busy due to the Fairy Tale Package.

Have a great trip!

I think you'll be fine anytime in September but if you're trying to avoid crowds as much as possible, I would avoid Sept 5 & 6 th at the Magic Kingdom (this year's Night of Joy) and the weekend of Aug 28 - Sept 1 (Tom Joyner's Family Reunion). We went the first time without kids in 2000 the week after Labor Day and I was amazed at the lack of crowds. I had only gone in the summer before. The only bad thing was the shorter park hours. It was still hot but with less crowds it didn't seem too bad. Our routine was to hit a different park everyday and then finish the day out at Epcot and Illuminations. Since you'll be at the Yacht Club that would be even better. Enjoy your visit!

We have visited 7 times in Sept....its great !! Don't worry about crowds...there will some here and there but overall...it will be a great vacation. Expect some rain, it happens. just be prepared with your mickey ponchos every day and you will be fine.
We have stayed at both the Yacht and Beach club and I never noticed more kids at one or the other. We saw kids at both and of course at the pool. :)
enjoy yourself !!

oh...ps...my personal thoughts on the best week is the 2nd week of Sept...always slow...but lots of rain. ;)

We've also gone several times in September, hitting every week except the last one. I honestly don't think you'll tell a difference crowd-wise because it's such a slow time of the year, and probably one of the lowest months for kids since most just started back to school. Seems like we remember seeing more kids from foreign countries than from U.S.

It's a great month for enjoying the water parks. It seems to be before they close either of them for rehab, and you can actually float around the lazy rivers without crashing into people.
