Hi my names trevor and I'm gonna be heading to wdw in december. Im flyin there from nor-cal with my family(Parents, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers), and I'm just wondering. What would be the teen choice for an onsite hotel(deluxe)? I've never been there so I reaaly don't know what to expect, and my mom pretty much had me make this account and all just to ask that question. We're gonna be there for like 11 days, but if we get a cheaper hotel we'll be there atleast 2 weeks.

btw if theres a december wdw thread for teens can someone send me a link?
Thx!

Deluxes aren't cheap, but they are worth the price. I would recommend a Magic Kingdom monorail deluxe (Poly, Contemporary, Grand Flo). Wilderness Lodge is perfect too, but transporation isn't as convenient. If you want a cheaper resort, I recommend Pop Century, but the rooms are much smaller than deluxes. However, the pools, food court, and arcade at Pop Century is fantastic and almost above deluxes in these areas, yet rooms are definitely a step down from deluxes. If you want to go in between, moderates are wonderul with my personal favorite being Caribbean Beach. You really can't go wrong with a Disney resort and I don't recommend staying offsite unless you are going to Universal or SeaWorld. Have fun!

Personally I think any resort is good for a teenager. You can narrow it down based on their personal interests. I am a teenager, and my favorite is the Wilderness Lodge, however most of my other friends have different favorites. The WL is great though! Yes, it's not on the monorail, but the bus service is fine and you can take a boat to MK. You get 2 great restaurants, and the surroundings are beautiful. Highly recommended. :goodvibes

well i usually stay at Pop Century because it's just me and my mom and we don't need lots of room n we aren't really in our room alot. but the rooms are good, the food court is great and the arcade is AWESOME! i go there every night i can :). but if you want a step up, i would recomend Caribbean Beach. I personaly LOVE the pirate rooms. there are also Finding Nemo rooms. the food court there is pretty cool as well :). as for Deluxes, i've stayed at a few and they are all phenominal! i would have to say my top 3 would be Contemperary (Magic Kingdom view if you can get one), Polonesian, and Beach Club. if you like a kind of modern feel with easy Monorail access, i recomend Contemperary. if you can get a Magic Kingdom view, it makes it even more amazing. i would go out on the deck and watch the fireworks with the music for them coming from the TV :cloud9: .if you like the Hawaiian type feel and a resort that's pretty spread out, Polonesian would be a good choice. i also watched the fireworks there and they had the music playing on the beach :). if you like the old Beach-housey type of thing, Beach club would be good. its a short walk or boat ride to Epcot and the pool is one of the best i've been to. they also have a '50s style icecream parlor which was really fun to go to. whatever you choose, you're going to have a BLAST :)

I take it there no decemb threads but thanks taylor, that shot the other replies out of the water haha.

I think the best hotel for teens is animal kingdom lodge (if u love animals). but if u want a cheeper place the all star movies is a good family place. also the beach club or board walk r fun to.

im not sure if there is one but you could make one if you don't find one. and haha i try :). if you can't tell, i LOVE the Disney resorts and we practically never stay offsite

I personally don't know if anything can top my experience at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I just think it is very different and the most modern of any resort. It is the only deluxe I've been to, but I like it. Polynesian seems very similar to it, but I've never stayed there so I can't say. I think it usually depends on the person, I look for experiences in everything and I'm a traveller who never will do something twice, unless I enjoyed it a lot (i.e. Disney), so it may be different than your tastes. Here is a list of all resorts in Disney (split by Value, Deluxe and Moderate):

VALUE

POP Century
All Star Movies
All Star Music
All Star Sports

MODERATE

Caribbean Beach
Coronado Springs
Fort Wilderness (They offer a campground here as well as the resort)
Port Orleans (French Quarter or Riverside)

DELUXE

Animal Kingdom Lodge
Beach Club
Boardwalk Inn
Contemporary
Dolphin
Grand Floridian
Polynesian
Shades Of Green
Swan (Basically same thing as Dolphin)
Wilderness Lodge
Yacht Club

I really love Pop Century and Caribbean. They're the only 2 I've ever stayed at on-site, but we've stayed at both more than once- so they're nice!!!!
