to Universal?

For a day trip, staying on site at POP??? (and cost please!) 1 adult, 2 teens.

THanks so much!

Cab is probably the cheapest. It is about $25 from downtown Disney.

There is also bus service if you want to go really cheap. You could take this from any of the WDW parks right to Universal.

I'm guessing that you aren't renting a car. If you were, you could exit out of Downtown Disney onto Apopka-Vineland and then turn right down Palm Parkway. It will turn into Turkey Lake Rd shortly after, and take that all the way along the I4 I believe it is and go to Sand Lake. Make a right onto Sand Lake and take that until a left on Universal Blvd. I haven't been there recently (I was there last year), but I am pretty good with directions, so this is probably 90-100% accurate.

Otherwise, I would take a cab. I don't know the cost.

The Lynx buses do not go straight to Universal. You have to take one to downtown Orlando and then change buses at least one other time. It takes about 2-3 hours.

You can take Lynx bus route 50 from Disney's Ticket &Transportation center to Seaworld. Then switch to the I-Ride trolley to Universal. This will take at least an hour maybe more.

Mears has buses that run from the Disney resorts but you need to call them 24 hours in advance. I'm thinking it is $16 per person roundtrip. The other option is a taxi which will run about $35 one way.

Does anyone know if mears have an email address? I have the same question and wanted to get a quote.

OK just managed to find email for mears esales@mearstransportation.com and they claim there is no shuttle from Disney to Universal area at all. They can however arrange a town car for $45 each way which is more expensive than a cab. Dont know whether they were just fobbing me off but I asked for a shuttle from Disney (around Pop Century but could go to a park if needed) to Universal.

I just called: Airport and Attraction Shuttle Reservations for Mears
(407) 423-5566. I was told that, yes, they do have shuttle service from all the Disney resorts. It is $16 round trip per person. You need to call that number 24 hours in advance for reservations.
