The family joke is I eat like bird on a diet so I was hoping sens we are not on the dinning plan I could order off the kids menu or split a meal with some one in my party

I plan on splitting meals with my husband our next trip, but not at qs. I don't think we will do it at ts meals, which we are only doing a few of.

I often get an appetizer for my meal or app and a salad. I will also split. Its super easy. You can always order off the kids meals. Have a great time!

We were on the deluxe dining plan and did a lot of meal splitting - never ran into a problem. It was really fun when we shared 2 meals among 4 of us at Hollywood Brown Derby - they do dessert as 3 mini portions of your choice of dessert. There are 6 desserts total on the menu, so for our 2 meals we got to sample of every dessert on the menu!

Splitting seems to be fine everywhere except for character meals - there they want a full meal price for each person at the table.

You'll have no problem splitting meals or ordering a kids' meal (unless you are at a buffet or AYCTE restaurant where you will be charged as an adult no matter how little you eat). I do this a lot - I'll order a salad and an appetizer and that is plenty of food for me!

Because you are not on the dining plan you will be able to order whatever you like. You can choose to share with another person, order an appetizer instead of an entree or order from the children's menu. Once in a great while someone will post that a server, usually at a non-Disney owned restaurant, will adhere to the 9 and under ages printed on the kids' menu, but very rarely.

You cannot share and everyone will be charged according to their age, regardless of how little they eat, at buffets (e.g. Crystal Palace, Tusker House), All You Care to Eat family style meals (e.g. 'Ohana, Garden Grill), dinner shows (Hoop De Doo, Spirit of Aloha Luau, Mickey's Backyard Barbecue), fixed price meals (e.g. CRT, Akershus), dining packages (e.g. ROL, Fantasmic), dessert parties (e.g. MK, Star Wars), special events (e.g. Dine with an Imagineer or Animal Specialist, Food & Wine events) and anyone who partakes of the Family Platter at Whispering Canyon Cafe.

So, if I am on the dining plan, I can share a meal with my husband and use the saved credit? We share quick service all the time, but did not even think to do it at TS! This would be great, then I could use two credits for Boma breakfast! Hopefully I am understanding this correctly. I just hate to use a credit for TS breakfast. Thanks!

Just realized how dumb I sounded, of course, I'll still be using credits, but now I feel like they are almost free, if that makes sense!
