What is the best washing machine brand for quality and customer service?

My mom also looked at GE washers and she found one that she likes at Lowes but she hasn't decided yet and the second brand she is looking at for washers is Whirlpool. We have had our Whirlpool washer for almost 20 years and the only things my mom had to replace was the knob because it fell off but it's a great washer

I have a Maytag, I hate it.

It has something wrong w/the control panel. The buttons stop working, and there is literally no way to use it until they decide to work again. Sometimes that means standing there for 10 minutes hitting it over and over, or walking away for a couple hours and coming back. It is probably 6 years old, and started doing that shortly after the warranty expired.

Are you serious? That's an average of 4+ loads per day. Those must have been small loads. I grew up in a family of 6 and our washer was used virtually every day but usually only 1-2 loads.

4 people. Normal sized loads. At least 2 loads a day, 3 some days. Sunday was official laundry day
2 school uniforms a day during the week.
2 sets of after school clothing a day
2 sets of sports attire a day
4 sets of Umpire gear during baseball season for me
2 sets of work attire for DW and I
2 sets of after work attire for DW and I
3 sets of fitted sheets every week (I know some folks only do sheets every two weeks)
8 large bath towels every week
28 sets of underwear a week
It adds up.
Just two of us now and we still do 6 loads a week. And sheets only get done every two weeks now.

Try your math again because it doesn't add up. Even at 3 loads per day M-Sa is 18 then on Sunday's "laundry day" would be 15 loads to average 33 per week.

This even seems crazy. We're down to just two of us and we do 2-3 loads a week, add a 4th if we do sheets/towels (we have enough of both that we can go two weeks in between).

Heck, I think even when our kids were younger and had school uniforms and two sets of team uniforms (multiple teams sometimes), we just had ~5-6 loads per WEEK.

We also look for high capacity washer/dryer to put more stuff in. If you can't get everyone's clothes for a day done in two loads (and that's because of separating darks/lights), there's something out of the ordinary.

According to Google 5.7 to 7 loads is average per week. Once again, we are merely average, LOL.
Our LG is high capacity, took my wife some time to figure exactly how big a load could go in without triggering the overload warning.
