What is the best umbrella stroller?

ok i've read lots of reviews about maclaren triumph and quest; peg perego aria, and joovy groove. Those of you who have the maclaren strollers...how do they steer in your opinion? Do you have extra accessories for holding cups/ key etc?

I like the canopy and extra holders on the joovy but reviews say it squeaks. Our last stroller did that and it drove us crazy.

Peg Perego has lots of cups holders and is very similar to Quest and many say that it doesn't tip over like the other strollers (when you have a bag hanging on the back). I seem to find the best deal on the Maclaren strollers though. Thanks again:thumbsup2

I have a Maclaren Techno and I love the way it steers! I also have a Peg Uno and Pliko, and the Mac is the easiest to push and steer. BTW, the Peg cupholders are worthless.

I bought a Jolly Jumper stroller caddy from BRU to hold bottles and keys when I'm using the Mac. It was way cheaper than the Mac accesories.

Mac fan here as well! I recently found a really cool stroller on Amazon.com on sale for $150 called the Mutsy Spider Stroller. It is unique in design and can fold up to fit in an overhead in an airplane! DH said no to another stroller but I just thought this would be perfect for trips to Disney:)

HI princess Pooh!! haven't seen you since the expected moms thread last year. I believe our babies were born around the same time. ds 2/15/08. Thanks for you honest opinion:thumbsup2

Another Mac fan here!

I have posted these photos of our accessories before, here they are again it has been awhile.

We have the buggy buddy. Love it! I call it my glove box. Has 2 "cup holder" pockets. We personalized ours with our name to help identify our stroller. We also added our name to the stroller strap.

We also have a Liquid Caddy cup holder and the Ray Shade.

And a stroller fan.

We wouldn't "need" the fan it just keeps him cooler and more comfortable during naps. That is the only time we use it. He will take a 2 hour nap in the stroller in the parks.

The buggy buddy dangles when the stroller is folded. It has a wire ring around the top of it keep its shape so it has to be remove or dangle when the stroller is folded.

I have the valco baby universal cupholder on all of my strollers I like it alot and it holds the travel mugs from disney very nicely even the animal topper cups from AK. I don't use anything else on the the techno b/c mine has a pocket one the back of the sun shade big enought to put a pack of travel wipes, keys, phone, ipod and other small nick nack things.

I hope you and the kidlets are doing well! Good luck with your stroller search. It probably took me months and lots of test driving before I finally bought one. I should have thought to ask on here first :)

where can you find the buggy buddy and that extra cup holder?

Hubby just ordered our first Maclaren Quest last night and we should have it in a few days. We ordered it from a store on Ebay and paid 105+ free shipping (2007 model).

I'm excited about using it on our next Dis trip; since we're staying on property this year and we'll be using the Disney buses as our main source of transportation I wanted something light and that would fold up and not take up so much space. Last night when he ordered it the seller had 5 of this model and I just checked for fun and now it's down to 2; so it looks like there are alot of folks snatching up these deals - who knows maybe a lot are gearing up for an upcoming Disney trip like we are.

I got both from eBay. Search for "buggy buddy" and "liquid caddy".

The Buggy Buddies that I have seen have "Sunshine Kids" on the side...did you just flip it around or put your name over that part, because I like the idea of having your name nice and clear to label it and your stroller.

Also, does it collapse well with the stroller?

Thanks for the ideas!

I removed the "Sunshine Kids" with a seam ripper. There is a zipper pocket on the back side that you couldn't use if you stiched through the other side.

It doesn't collapse. It has a wire ring around the top of it to help keep its shape. We usually just slipped it off one side and left it dangle. You can see it in the last picture I posted of the stroller folded up.

We love it and really miss it if it gets left at home.

I just wanted to thank everyone for helping me decide what stroller to get> We ordered the Maclaren Quest (2007 model) charcoal/sky blue from babye-store.com for 145.00 plus free ups shipping!!:thumbsup2

I also ordered a stroller organizer and clip on fan from walmart.com. Thanks a bundle and I CAN'T wait to use them at WDW!

Congrats!! You will love the Quest! Let me know how fast they ship. I want to order a few accessories from there!

BTW, which clip fan did you get?

Another vote for Maclaren. Go to Babies'R'US and try one out. You cannot go wrong nor can you do better.

Did you purchase the stroller from babyproductstore (I wish I would have known about the Quest being so cheap!)? If so, I have ordered two Maclarens from that seller and they are AWESOME. Super super fast shipping and both strollers have been in excellent condition.

About the OP...I purchased a Triumph for my stroller swap and so far both swappers have said that its great. One even said that her husband now wants to buy one! It reclines and is really really lightweight. I bought it off Ebay for $110. I also bought a Volo for home use. It doesn't recline but that's about the only feature it doesn't have when compared to the Triumph. I paid $70 and free shipping for it. They both steer so so well. I have a 3 year old who is around 35 lbs and its like pushing a feather. Much better than the cheapie umbrella strollers you can buy at Walmart.

I ordered the Kel-gar Keep Attachable Pin wheel fan for 10.00 from walmart.com I hope it works well.:goodvibes

For those that have the Maclaren strollers, I am trying to decide between the Triumph, the Quest and the Techno XLR. Can anyone provide feedback or point me in the direction of some reviews?

I've found some great deals on these strollers, but aside from the weight difference I can't specifically see the difference in them. I've found the Techno XLR for under $200 which seems like a great deal but I don't know if it is too heavy or not.

I'm purchasing one for my 4 year old and then doing a swap with a few different families in my area to use at WDW this year.

Thanks!

Does anyone know if the canopy tilts on the 2008 Triumph? I seem to be finding conflicting information on which models and which years do this. It seems like that would be a nice feature.

the weight of the strollers are not that big in difference the biggest difference you will find w/ the techno especially the XLR is the seat itself is bigger and the techno will actually provide for sun coverage than the other two.
