what is the best time to go to DTD??

When is the best time to go to DTD. would it be morning, afternoon, or evening (i am thinking evening would be more packed). I would like to fit it into my schedule and also eat at Earl of Sandwich for our CS while there. We would also be driving as we have a car.

We have been in the afternoon and evening. In my opinion it is far busier in the evening than it is during the afternoon.

Avoid Friday and Saturday nights. Way too crowded. Morning/early afternoon is a good time to go. Morning is great for shopping you can actually move around the store.

If your going for atmosphere I like night. For shopping purposes weekday mornings.

DTD is more crowded in the evenings and packed when it rains.

We go in the morning. Way too crowded in the World of Disney store and the Christmas store in the late afternoon and evening. I shop in the morning and then we walk around, have lunch at DTD and then head back to the resort in the afternoon.

for opening this past trip on our departure day. Normally we go after a breakfast at CM but we had a later time. The stores are easy to walk through at opening and there hardly any lines at the registers.

I will go anytime in the morning up until about 2-3pm, then it starts to fill up. In fact, many times the lots are full at night and it's hard to find a spot to park...(if driving)

I love doing things off hours - i enjoy it so much more when it's less crowded

for shopping I like to get there for opening and if it doesnt matter which meal you eat at Earl you can go there in the am before the stores open and have breakfast or go there at lunch time any time after 3 you will have a line at Earl and will have a hard time getting a table in or out unless someone in your party knows exactly what they want and you can get it and that person grabs a table!!!
I highly recommend the Earl grey lemonade !!! my favorite drink at Earl even make it at home!!!
for parking if you dont mind walking park over near the pleasure island area the lot near Market place fills up fast!!

We had an ADR at T-Rex for 7:00 p.m. on 8/9 and at that time it was crowded. When we came out about 8:30 or so it was a mad house. Our DS's got scared with all the people and asked to go back to the hotel. The rest of my party refused to go back to DTD for anything. I wanted to try Wolfgang Puck Marketplace and after sweet talking them and showing them how close it was to the bus stop they said okay, but we had to go early. So on 8/11 we eat around 5:00 p.m. and it was not that crowded. Never again will we go to DTD that late.
