What is the best time to be at Beaches and Cream without waiting for a table?

I already know that Beaches and Cream does not accept ADR's, so I am wondering what is the best time to go there for lunch and yes I realize when we go it will be during Free Dining, so how much of an impact will that have?

We have eaten at Beaches and Cream several times for lunch and we always go at 11:00 AM. We have never had a wait at that time. Usually by the time we are finished (close to noon) the place is busy and waits have started. We just have a light snack when we get up and don't eat a real breakfast. That ensures we are hungry at 11

Beaches and Cream is our traditional "arrival day" lunch. We always get there right when it opens (11 am) and never had a wait for a table - not even when we did our Grand Gathering and there were 16 of us!

We love starting our trip with the Beaches and Cream cheeseburgers!

We usually get there a little bit before opening at 11 AM and get in line to be checked in! :thumbsup2

What time does B&C close? I'm hoping to try it this August too.

11 PM. As long as you are checked in prior to that you will be served. There was a group of 15 on Saturday night that didn't get seated until around 10:45.

It's always on our must do list! They have the best burgers on property and the onion rings are yummy! We've done the Kitchen Sink on more than one occassion and our oldest doesn't like leaving Disney property without his No Way Jose!

Enjoy!

Don't mean to hijack, but what about late lunch/early dinner? We've only eaten at B & C when they did their temporary breakfast, so haven't been for lunch or dinner yet as always too long of a wait during the summer months.

Any info would be greatly appreciated, Tiger :)

All I can say is that we usually go to WDW in June, August and December months and the only time that we haven't had a long wait is when we arrive just prior to opening. It is a VERY small restaurant. Many people are not aware just how tiny the place is. I admit that I was shocked the first time we went. They need to break down the wall and take over the arcade space! :woohoo:

Last August, we went there around 4pm and were able to sit with a 5min wait. The counter was open, but we wanted a booth. We were there for about an hour, and the crowds were pretty thin with no waits during the time I was there.

Between 2pm and 4pm, usually more like 2:30-4:00. We eat there several times a trip when we stay at BC and rarely wait at all, and if we do wait, it's usually in the 5-10 minute range.

It really depends on your party size. For a party of 2, you can generally get in faster than a party of 6. With 4 booths (that seat 6) and only 10 tables of 4, it's hard to get parties of 4 or more in without a wait always. We ate there 2 weeks ago and had a party of 6 and we waited 45 minutes. It was 4:30PM. After we checked in there was a party of 12 that checked in behind us. After we got in, ate and was leaving they were just started to get that party in (over an hour wait). However, if you go in January, you can often get in with no wait. We ate here at least 3 times in January and some days we were the only ones there.

Thanks for all of that info! We are a party of 4, so this will be great for us as we are going to Beaches right before we depart - between 3:00-4:00.

Looking forward to it as we've only had breakfast and ice cream from here.

Thanks, Tiger :)

I was wondering about this too. I would assume that around 11ish before the lunch crowd or between 2pm and 4:30 would be a good time. Late at night shouldn't be too bad either.

We tried to go there on Saturday (our arrival day) at about 2:30 with a party of four and were told the wait would be at least an hour, possibly 90 minutes. I'm not sure if they'd just had a big rush (the poor CM at the podium looked quite frazzled), and we decided to keep moving, so I don't know how accurate that projected wait was.

We'll try again, right at opening, later this trip. Thanks for the idea!

The OP asked about the impact from free dining plan guests. B&C is a table service (not quick service) restaurant. Most guests consider it a poor use of a table service credit. I don't think free dining would have any impact.

The restaurant is a nice place to get lunch or dessert but I don't think it's worth a special trip or a long wait.

The Fountain (in the Dolphin) is an alternative.

I gave it some thought. Free dining may have an indirect impact. To the extent free dining means high occupancy B&C may have longer waits. The wait would be from dining people who are looking to pay out of pocket for a table service meal or are willing to pay out of pocket for an ice cream break.

My understanding is B&C now serves frozen burgers. I think it's (a little) overrated. Makes a lot of sense if you're staying in an EPCOT resort. Makes some sense if you're going between EPCOT and DHS and the line is reasonable. Makes sense if you have dinner in one of the restaurants and want to go to B&C for dessert. DDP guest have dessert included, they'll be having dessert in the restaurant where they dine.

JMO but I don't think I'd make a special trip for the sole purpose of eating at B&C.

Once again thank you for that information and if we are able to have lunch there then what will great, if we don't then it's not a big deal. Plus since we would plan to do this during our stay at the Boardwalk we can walk to the Beach Club, so we wouldn't be coming very far and I think it's better then driving there during our stay at the Contemporary.

Yup, this is always our plan. We steer clear during peak times and are typically just fine with a 5-10 minute wait.

We tried 1pm once and after 40 minutes I was getting the evil eye from the family. We stuck it out and ice cream seemed to repair everyone's mood.
