I have an old photoshop, but not sure it will work on Windows 7. Looking for one that will remove blemishes, resize and crop mostly. Any trails out there of something worth downloading?

I'd suggest looking into Lightroom. It's pretty easy to use; but can still do a lot. And there is a fully functional trial of it on the Adobe site.

Or Photoshop Elements 9 which also has a free trial which would do all the above. And there are many others which may get posted here. I have used PSE for years and am still climbing the Lightroom hill (I'm slow! :rolleyes1). Regardless of how you feel about the quality of reviews on Amazon.com I would go there to read some of the user reviews as well as the reviews on a few other sites if you have not done so yet.

Lightroom is a photo organizer as much as an editing tool whereas PSE is for editing. I also use a couple filters as do some others who post on this forum.

Lightroom is a great photo program. Highly recommended.

Thanks

ok, I am sure I am the lone wolf on this one but I use corel paint shop pro. I got it last year on an amazon lightening deal for 25.00 so I figured it had to be an inprovement from what I had-so far I have been pleased with it.

Lightroom is great for image management and basic editing (it's better at global rather than local editing). Photoshop Elements is great if you need more controlled local editing. And if you get really serious Photoshop CS5 is the industry standard for professional photo editing. Bibble is also good and has a slightly more user friendly experience.

I also use Corels PAint Shop Photo PRO X3, it's awesome, will do anything photoshop will do, is chepaer and has an easier learning curve..

you can download a free trial, and right now the full version is on sale for 30 dollars, normally 100
