Im trying to find the best digital camera with the best picture qaulity and some good additions to it. Like picture frames. What is your choice? Can you please post a pic that u took with that camera. By the way how much do picture prints cost at WDW?

A lot of it really depends on your needs and skills. You can generally get better results from an SLR if you know how to use the manual settings, but they're also big. If you are looking for compact, you'll have to sacrifice a little in the picture quality. They are also less expensive, though.

I just got a Canon SD800, and it's great for snapshots because it's so small I can carry it around in my purse. I also have a 10D for more serious photography even thought it's a little outdated now.

Really doesnt matter cuz I can always buy extra storage

Megapixels mean how good the picture quality is, not storage.

I have a 4 megapixel camera which is good, but not the best, although it is enough for most people.the more megapixels the more the camera costs.A 4 megapixel camera cost about 100-130 dollars. have a Samsung A402. You cannot buy megpixels.

Hope this helps!! :)

If you need anymore help just ask me! :)

How big would you like to be able to print your photos? The more megapixels, the bigger you can print. 4-6MP or so will give you a pretty good 8x10, and 6-8MP or so will give you decent 11x14s.

Actually, you can probably find your exact question answered in several threads on the Photography Board. It's a pretty common question, and I always tend to favor the same two brands whenever the question comes up: Sony and Canon have consistently been, over the years, far-and-away the easiest to use cameras, and very readily produce some of the best photos that I feel I could take.

If you're looking for a small camera with a lot of megapixels that isn't too confusing, I recommend the Canon elph line. I have one right now and so does my mom (3mp and 4mp). I think they have a 10mp one now.

I just bought and am awaiting the arrival of my new Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7 (http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/panasonicfz7/). It is a semi-SLR, 6mp, 12x optical zoom (that's the one to worry about, don't worry about digital zoom), etc. Since it is an older model, the price was reasonable ($277 from beachcamera.com). I also bought a 2gb SD memory card from Amazon for $30. I have read a lot of reviews on this camera and it seems to be really good. It has a lot of modes (portrait, fireworks, etc). You can also keep the shutter open for a full minute which is great for fireworks and starry sky shots.

My friend has the Canon Powershot S2 IS, which is a similar camera, except only 5mp. It is around the same price and similar in features. A newer version of it, the S3, is available for more money, but it isn't a huge overall improvement over the S2.

We just bought the Canon Power Shot SD 900. It has 10mp and we love it!

have a casio exilim myself had a 4 meg that got snatched down at Disney in november and replaced it with a 7.2 meg both had large lcd displays making pic taking easy and were both easy to use the new camera as 279.00 when i got it but am sure christmas prices will be lowering that soon. good luck and have fun down in Disney

Almost all of a photograph's quality is a result of the person and not the equipment. You can give decent photographers a $5 disposable camera and they will take better photos than poor photographers with $5,000 cameras.

As long as your camera has a minimum level of quality, then you'll be able to take outstanding photos. Every single digital camera on the market from all of the "major" brands meets such minimal specifications for photos that you won't enlarge past 8 x 10.

A good camera absolutely CAN'T make anyone take good photos.

Quick story -- a friend and I were on a cruise, he had a bag full of disposable cameras he bought at a gas station, I had my fancy and expensive 35 mm SLR. We purposely tried this experiment. We stood next to each other for many of the photos we took, of people, scenery, etc., over the course of the cruise. We got our film developed, and the photos we took at the same time were identical. The only time they were different was when I played around with movement or something called depth of field. So the bottom line was, my expensive camera and his Sunoco brand disposable cameras took the same quality photos when we stood next to each other to shoot the same subjects.
