I found some great OOP places for us to eat, per the menu's.
We do chicken, burgers, pasta, salads, pizza (plain cheese) & sandwhiches.

What about DHS ?

So far we like, with good OOP prices:
Earl of Sandwich - Downtown Disney
Pizzafari - Animal Kingdom
Sunshine Seasons - The Land Future World - Epcot
Liberty Inn America - World Showcase – Epcot
Sommerfest Germany - World Showcase – Epcot
Columbia Harbour House - Liberty Square - Magic Kingdom
Cosmic Ray's Starlight Café - Tomorrowland - Magic Kingdom
Plaza Restaurant Main Street - Magic Kingdom
Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station Tomorrowland- only Dinner-Magic Kingdom

Any DHS suggestions ?

Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of any of the restaurants at DHS. Sorry I can't recommend anything! I try not to write negative posts, but I just haven't found anything I like at DHS. It's the only park where I don't have a favorite CS restaurant.

In a pinch, I might grab a sandwich at Starring Rolls, or another bakery-type snack. But I try to time my day to eat at other parks or DTD, not at DHS. DHS is a half-day park for me, so I get there early (after eating breakfast in my room), have a snack from Starring Rolls, ride a few rides, then hop to another park where I eat my meal.

Sorry!

The only place DH likes at DHS is 50 PT.:goodvibes
So, maybe if we do spend most of the day at DHS, we will dig into our wallet and do 50 PT.

If we skip dessert, 50 PT will be less expensive.

Me, DW, could just have Chicken Noodle Soup - Hearty mixture of chicken, vegetables, and egg noodles $6.49 and Cousin Amy's Iceberg Lettuce Wedge - Bacon, without the Blue Cheese Dressing and Chives $5.49
My cost = $13

DH would eat Aunt Annie's Seafood Salad - Lump Blue Crab, Bay Scallops, and Shrimp tossed in Citrus Vinaigrette served on seasonal Greens $9.99 and Chicken Noodle Soup - Hearty mixture of chicken, vegetables, and egg noodles $6.49
DH cost = $17

DD & DS would eat Aunt Liz's Golden Fried Chicken - served with .....
remove from the plate the mashed potatoes, chicken gravy and southern greens
add from the kid menu the fruit salad and french fries $15.99
DD & DS each cost = $16

Drinks @ $2 each = $8

Our 50 PT OOP cost = $70 + $11 tip = $88 for dinner, not too bad a price ($22/person)

:)ZoZo, thanks for your try :wizard:

I like the pizza at Pizza Planet best- I've found all the other CS places to be pretty awful.

Another vote for Starring Rolls but you will likley need to eat an early lunch if you plan on eating there. They typically sell out their snadwiches pretty quickly. I think they have sushi too.

Starring rolls the sandwiches are huge and soo are the cupcakes  they are sooooo good!

My kids like Pizza Planet too.

We've had good food at Backlot Express, near Star Tours. I like the grilled turkey & cheese sandwich with peppers and arugula. My guys get the cheeseburgers and seem to like them OK. One thing I particularly like about it is that they have a self-serve drink station, so we get a refill before we leave.

I like the pizza at Pizza Planet best- I've found all the other CS places to be pretty awful.

It's exactly the same as everywhere else. The exact same frozen pizza warmed up. You may have just happened to get a fresher one there than somewhere else.

The only counter service we found we all liked something at was ABC Commissary. It had lots of seating and was inside.

My DW and I like Fairfax Fare. There isn't a huge selection, but I've had various BBQ combinations and the Fairfax salad, and enjoyed them all.

Wow - see have never seem Fairefax Fair...
the menu to us sounds pretty good - but wish they had apple slices or french fries and minus the baked beans! :rotfl:

1/2 Slab of Spareribs - served with baked beans and coleslaw $10.69

1/2 Chicken - served with baked beans and coleslaw $9.69

Kids' Picks
All meals served with applesauce, carrot sticks, and choice of 1% milk, bottled water, or juice -> Macaroni and Cheese $4.99
:goodvibes: Maybe we could get rid of the coleslaw and baked beans and get the Kids' Picks
applesauce and carrot sticks ! :goodvibes

:confused3Could someonme tell me where Fairefax Fair is located?
Near what ride ? On which road ? :confused3

There is not a single cs I could recommend at DHS. This is a very sad park when it comes to cs. The only one that I could possible recommend is Starring Rolls. But with that it is nothing more than cold cut sandwiches and the selection is very, very limited. When we go to DHS it is the only day we actually eat a full breakfast, skip lunch, use a snack credit at the park, and then end up leaving DHS and usually eating at Epcot or one of the Epcot resort restaurants for dinner.

Other then the Liberty Inn I agree with all your choices.

As far as DHS there's only one Starring Rolls. Its the only CS I'll eat at and they have very limited amount of pre-made sandwiches.

We usually pick SciFi, MM or 50 PT for lunch (all 3 are TS) , and order something light. A salad, soup or fries and a burger. SciFi does have good sandwiches though. While I'm not crazy about any of them the food is OK.

DHS has terrible CS. The worst of the 4 parks IMO

I thought the Greek salad at the Studios Catering Co

We like Pizza Planet the best. We also like Backlot Express, I like the Southwest Salad or Grilled Turkey sandwich. The kids get hot dog or chicken nuggets. My husband and kids like ABC Commissary, I don't like the food, if we do go there I get the fish. What I do like about ABC is there is a lot of seating and it's a good place to take your time and cool off. There is good food at some of the outside counter service places, but it's usually so hot I want to sit inside somewhere.

We enjoyed the backlot express but that was 2yrs ago and the menu seems to have changed.
