We (Myself, My wife, son (1+), father (67) and mother) are visiting LA from May 27th to May 2nd and planning to visit these places

Disneyland
Universal Studios
Seaworld
Hollywood

What is the best day to visit between April 28th (Saturday) to May 1st (Tuesday).

* Never been there. First time. No idea what is there. Even thought of canceling since I thought is is just for kids. :confused3
* We are allergic to big crowd.
* Will be visiting only Disneyland not Adventure (What is there anyway ? )
* Have only one day, so would like to see all major/good ones without much effort. My father and mother can't walk all day.
* What are all the restrictions with the one-day ticket?

TIA

I would definitely think Tuesday, May 1st would be your best bet, but Monday would be a second choice.

(I bet Hydroguy will weigh in with stats ...):cheer2:

What? Disneyland is just for kids? I didn't get the memo (thank goodness!) It's a good thing my kids are bringing me with them to Disneyland in 2 weeks then, because it is my FAVORITE PLACE ON THE PLANET!!! :rotfl2:

ok, I'm hogging your thread!

Why not just scrap the rest of that stuff you were planning and spend the whole trip at DL and DCA?

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Thanks for your day suggestion. I was thinking the same.

LA (Hollywood) - Saturday (28th).
Seaworld - Sunday (29th)
Universal - Monday(30th)
Disney - Tuesday (1st)
LA (Rest of the stuff) - Wednesday (2nd)

All 5 days in DL/DCA? No way...

Thanks for y

Personally, I would pick Sunday. It has longer hours then Tuesday. There are fireworks that evening. And its not an early entry day. I would get to the gates a little before opening time. Head straight to Fantasy land and do Peter Pan and Dumbo first. Mid day I would take a break at the hotel. Then head back to DL in the evening for the evening parade and fireworks.

Tuesday is an early entry day. With a one day ticket you wont be able to do EE. That means when you arrive at the park, even at opening time, fantasy land will be full, with long lines.

As for what is in DCA- Soarin' is one of the best Disney rides. Aladdin is a wonderful Broadway type musical show. Screamin' is a fun coaster! Bugs land is a great place for kids. Its got the Electric light parade in the evening- a Disney classic. The park doesnt get great reviews when people compare it to Disneyland, but its got some great things to see and do! If you can pull off even a partial day there, I would consider it. Maybe do 1/2 day after you go to Univeral.

Because you are going to Sea world and Univeral and a day at Disney- consider getting the "City Pass". It will give you tickets to all of those attractions at a reduced price, and allow you a little more time in DL/DCA. If you are a costco member, check them for prices.

I agree with Linda about Sunday. DLR has longer hours and more entertainment. The fireworks are worth the price of admission alone. I love Sunday mornings at DLR.

Of course, if you are truly allergic to crowds, I would steer clear of all the destinations you listed. Typically all those places are full of crowds.

And I am still just :scared1:  over the "disneyland is just for kids" comment. I would also scrap the rest and spend all my time at DLR. Gotta expect that when coming to a Disney fan site.

At the very least I would probably combine LA or Hollywood with the day at Universal. That would free up another entire day for DL. Of course that is coming from some that will be there the same time period, and is trying out a way to get to DL after being at the science center and Univeral one day. I want all 6 days at DL!

I thought about it, but I am not going to Zoo, and other attactions. If I buy the citypass I would have to pay $235.

But I got 30% off tickets for SeaWorld by using a coupon and $15 Coupon per ticket upto 6 for person for Universal Studios from ebay. So I will be saving $150 for 4 persons for these 2 attractions. Not able to find one for Disneyland, Arghh:mad:
