With the fall free dining promo coming up I as well as many others have to decide on places to eat. I have all my Table Service picked out but I wanted to know what are some good Counter Service. I would like to know why you liked them. Was it the food, atmosphere, etc. Please note the location also.

Thanks!!!

If I had to pick just one counter service, I'd pick the Tangierine in Epcot. The food is good and it's a nice offering over the usual burger and hot dog choices at many other locations. The CMs are very friendly there and the seating area is pretty nice.

They do have kid-friendly (read: American food) kids meals, so if your kids are not up to couscous, they will still be happy.

Yakatori in Japan (Epcot) esp. outside in the garden if the weather is good.
Tusker House in Animal Kindom
Sunshine Season Faire in The Land (Epcot) for the diversity of choices.
Cosmic Ray (not so great atmosphere really), but the roast chicken and mashed potatos are great.

I love the food outside of Mexico in EPCOT
The burger place in MK by pirates of the Carribbean. It has fresh mushrooms to top off your burgers.
Tusker House in AK had wonderful oven roasted chicken and home made mashed potatoes. I love that place.

I like to eat at Flame Tree BBQ in AK. The food is always very good and they give you a lot. I also really like Earl of Sandwich in DTD. You can get some wonderful food there. I really like their salads!

MK-Pecos Bill -- there is a pretty decent selection of stuff and lots of indoor seating

Epcot-Liberty Inn -- my kids are not adventurous eaters so the choices here are normal; again, lots of indoor seating (we go in June so seating in the air conditioning is very important :sunny: )

AK-Flame Tree BBQ -- nice size portions and lots of seating; we also like Pizzafari

MGM-Backlot Express -- MGM is our least favorite park for food but the Backlot Express wasn't too bad; my kids also enjoyed Toy Story Pizza Planet

I would say the Land in EPCOT. Even though it has changed a lot, is is till very good.

Flame Tree takes number 2. Really tasty stuff and the BBQ sauce smells great

Tusker House...yummy! 1/2 rotisserie chicken, veggies w/ mashed potato...much better than chicken nuggets:)
Pecos Bills...love the fixin's bar!
Pinocchios Village House (haus??) I thought the pizza was very yummy!

We won't go back to:
Pizza Planet..ewwwww

IMHO the very best is Season's in The Land building at Epcot because of the great selection of items you have to pick from.
The next would be Flame Tree BQ in AK (best ribs in the World)
My third Choice is Cosmic Rays (because of the Chicken and Rib combo dinner, just an excellent choice and very resonable price)
Forth choice is Tusker restaurant in AK (the corn chowder is extremely good)

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Two that I enjoy are Columbia Harbour House (MK) and Tusker House (AK). Epcot and MGM have so many interesting TS restaurants that we don't often eat CS at those parks.

If Earl of Sandwich counts as CS, it's at the top of my list! Incredibly yummy sub-style sandwiches for $5. I could eat lunch there 7 days a week!

My overall favorite is Tusker House in Animal Kingdom. I mean, where else can you get grilled salmon topped with a veggie relish, crisp green beans, and rice pilaf FOR LUNCH!! It's delicious.

It is Cosmic Ray's at MK for us. We like that they have three different counter service stations each offering different foods. There is something for everyone.

Here are my choices for the best WDW counter service restaurants. All of them are on my list because of the quality and variety of food they offer:

Columbia Harbour House in MK
Sunshine Seasons in The Land at Epcot
Tangerine Cafe in Morocco at Epcot
Earl of Sandwich in DTD

Wolfgang Puck in the Marketplace. . mmm, that four cheese pizza. . . just thinking about it is making my mouth water! LOL

COlumbia Harbor house is my favorite, I dont know if they still have it (we keep HAVING to go to Liberty Tavern can you believe that?!) but they had a great clam chowder/tuna sandwich combo which I really enjoyed.

I also really like Tusker House, very good roasted chicken. :)

We really like Tusker House in AK. Like other folks have said, the rotisserie chicken and veggies makes me feel like I'm eating at least a little healthy.

Also, we like Pecos Bill's in Frontierland at MK -- It's usually dark and cool in there. My mom and I ate burgers while we let DD sleep in the stroller and the guys did Splash Mtn. and BTM.

Looks like there are some common favorites here:

Tusker House, AK ... methinks is the best CS joint in all the parks. The food, atmosphere, the whole deal.

Pecos Bill, MK ... it's just burgers, sure, but the fixin's bar elevates it above the mundane.

Flatbread Grill, Studios ... a welcome update. If I want a burger, the nod goes to the Backlot Express.

Sunshine Seasons in the Land, Epcot ... great variety and quality a cut above.

Pecos Bills in MK- the food has large portions and isn't really expensive, the topping bar is a bonus.
Flame tree in AK- the atmosphere is great and the place is quiet if you sit near the water, the food is great too.
DMGM- can't help you only ate at a TS
Epcot- San Angel the CS one near the water, great food and we found lots to eat, margarita's aren't bad too :rotfl2:

Good luck.

Pecos Bill's in the MK, or Columbia Harbour House. Tusker house at AK, and EOS at DTD. We don't do CS at Epcot or MGM.:earsboy:
